★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1One of my favorite donuts in the city. Great selection of flavors and other types of pastries. It’s a fairly decent sized spot with some interior seating. The drinks are good too so come by and grab a box of treats and one of their lattes. It’s worth making the trip for. Highly recommend any of their speciality lattes, the salted coco jam is worth a try!Just a note that there may be a line to get in but it didn’t take us too long. Maybe around 15 minutes to get in on a weekend morning.
June 19 · Christina W.I have passed by this place about 20 times over the past 2 months on my daily run and seen a line out the door. I was never going to visit because I don’t wait in line for pastries, especially not in NYC.Today there was no line at all! I stopped in and the staff was so nice, so friendly I thought why not, let’s give it a go.The cookie was excellent, tangy silky cream sandwiched between crisp not too sweet rosemary cookies. Truly excellent. The donut was wonderful too! Soft, delicate with precious chantilly cream and tasty chunks of mango.I had no intention of eating sweets today especially after a run. But Im glad I tried Kora. Its a trendy space that packs up fast, but the products ARE delicious and beautiful to look at!
July 10 · AAKora is the perfect bakery experience for any NYC tourist and local! I was so impressed with our entire visit from the moment we got in line. We arrived around 9am and there was already a line out the door(which was a great sign). One of the owners came out to greet everyone waiting outside to make sure we were doing okay which was a nice, personal touch. As soon we entered, I was extremely impressed with how clean the establishment is and how cute the aesthetic is inside! The chairs were very comfy with plenty of seating and tables to hang out if you’re strategic to find an open spot. We got basically one of everything and enjoyed every pastry!!! My favorites were the spam and cheese pain susse (the BEST laminate dough plus savory melted pimento cheese and umami spam), ensaymada croissant (a beautiful marriage of the laminate dough hugged by traditional Filipino ensaymada butter, sugar and cheese) and the apple tamarind fritter (the most moist and crisp exterior apple fritter with the exotic flavor of tangy tamarind). I got the most delicious salted coco latte and my sister and friend got the pandan matcha and ube latte & their drinks were delicious!!!!!!They also have mastered their customer rapport. Every single staff member greeted us with a smile, were extremely patient and answered any questions that we had. You can tell both of the owners wanted to create a hospitable space in the community where they provide accessible Filipino flavors while making you feel like you’re a part of the family. We are so grateful to have experienced this amazing establishment and will be thinking about these unique treats, drinks and experience until the next time we visit NYC!
June 02 · Claire QuilatonWhat a great experience! It was my first visit and worth my morning walk. I anticipated a long line and was welcomed by the owners. They show how much they truly appreciate each and every customer. My favorite was the ube latte and ensaymada croissant, but all of their drinks and baked goods are phenomenal. I can't wait stop by again and try some more treats. Their entire team are so kind and make the wait worthwhile. I appreciate how organized the entire visit was- from the line outside, inside the store, the kitchen, check out, etc. They put a lot of thought into making it a seamless and enjoyable experience.
May 04 · NadineFresh unique donuts that were worth waiting in line for. Noticed the line and decided to get in line and it was well worth it! Lots of unique brioche donuts, glazed, stuffed, and powdered sugar in all different ways. Everything was fresh and everyone at the establishment was polite and helpful, hardest part was deciding which one to try!
