I went to Krispy Kreme today excited to try the Harry Potter donuts, and what a letdown. Out of two Sorting Hat donuts, one didn’t even have the hat — the entire point of the donut, and the other looked like it had already been through a Quidditch match (see photo).When I pointed this out, instead of simply giving me a fresh one from the shelf, the staff took my donut to the back, slapped another hat on it, and handed it back like that was acceptable. Sorry, but once my food disappears into the kitchen, I shouldn’t have to wonder what was done to it. A brand like Krispy Kreme should know better — toss the bad one and give the customer a proper replacement. It’s not that complicated.For a “magical” Harry Potter experience, this was anything but. If this is Krispy Kreme’s idea of quality and service, maybe they need their own Sorting Hat — because this belongs in Slytherin.And to top it off, this is the only Krispy Kreme in the Chicago area, nearly a 40-minute drive from the city — all for this? Definitely not worth it.

Staff refused to give me fresh donuts from the belt like they always they do . Ignorant. Possibly racist . Lecturing customers as if it’s first time we order from this place .The lady who served us must had some trauma in the past. She definitely needs some time off like PTO or something. This should help .Parking lot is full while there is no single customer in the store.

This has been a wonderful experience. Had an awful experience at the Schaumburg location and when we came here, they were out of the Harry Potter donuts but Kim was able to check if they were almost finished making more and let us know they would be out shortly. Very much worth the hour and half drive. Kim really made our experience a perfect visit. The whole staff was extremely friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

I've gone to this location twice in the last 6 months when the hot sign has been on. I prefer them when they are still cooling down. Both times, the staff served me cooled donuts. This time, I asked the staff to serve me donuts off the line, and they rolled their eyes and said they were taken off the line. Even after I opened the box and touched them in front of the staff. The hot sign brings in customers because they want a hot fresh donut, and this location doesn't serve them. Go to the location in Hillside. They serve hot donuts when the hot sign is on.

Haven’t had Krispy Kreme in years. This is the closest location to me, but still very far. I placed an order last night for pick up the next day. I ordered the Harry Potter “Sorting Hat” donuts and was very excited. My order was for 12:15. I walked in at 12:14 told the cashier I was there for a pickup and gave my name. She then responded “oh yeah your order was refunded because we sold out of all the sorting hat donuts” then slid a copy of my receipt with “refunded” written on it. If I ordered and paid for something in advance, why are you selling it?? If my phone number is attached to my order, and you cancelled it, why are you not calling me to let me know? I wouldn’t have driven 40 minutes if I had known you guys were going to sell something I paid for. She told me they sent an email, that email was sent 3 min prior to my pick up time. She said they were sold out since the morning. I should have been notified earlier then. Not when I’m already pulling in to the parking lot. Cashiers attitude was just unpleasant and dismissive. She wanted to get to the next customer. Disappointed with my experience and just annoyed.
