It's Krispy Kreme- what do you expect! This store was the first Krispy Kreme in the world, the start of the franchise. I have been going there since 1960. That was 23 years after the founding. The doughnuts are still excellent. There is a large red sign outside that says Hot Doughnuts Now" when the line is running. Go in and get them right out of the fryer- they can't be beat!

Granted they are going through a remodel-we must’ve gotten a bad shift or something. Not. Single person smiled or said hello.They just stared from behind the counter. The donuts were cold and the glaze tasted like it had been sitting in the display case for a few days. There were no lemon filled, raspberry filled, chocolate custard or strawberry glazed and it was 11:30 am when we went. I ordered a chocolate mocha frozen. The girl made a caramel frozen and handed it to me and my husband. When I said I ordered the chocolate mocha this must be someone else’s drink- the girl literally rolled her eyes at us and just stared refusing to take it back. My husband is the kindest person alive and with a smile said it again. She asked can you just take it? We are really busy. I replied no thank you I do not like caramel at all- I’m so sorry. She literally huffed like a teenager, rolled her eyes and walked away offering it to a random customer for free. He took it gladly :). It took her another 20 mins to make my drink. By this time the place had become so packed we just kept getting pushed further and further to the back door trying to stay out of the way of the flow of incoming patrons. The girl started yelling our drink order and we were trying to get her attention by waving our hands. When she made it us she said “it’s a good thing I saw you because I almost threw it away”. I’ve seen some glowing reviews for this place and I amHoping we just caught a bad shift is all.

Ah, Krispy Kreme, where the donuts are so photogenic online, you'd think they belong on the cover of a food magazine. But in real life? Let's just say my expectations were about as deflated as the sad excuse for butter cream piping on my donut. For the second time, I’ve been tricked by their tantalizing photos, only to unwrap something that looks like it survived a wrestling match with a steamroller. Sure, they taste fine—because, let's be honest, it's hard to mess up sugar and dough—but is it too much to ask for a donut that looks like it didn’t lose a bet? Let’s do better since people are spending their money here!

Today i was going to go to this location to buy a dozen but i pulled up to the window to order and the girl in the window, she looked around 19-20 didn’t even acknowledge me right in front of her somehow. So I told her hello to try and get her attention and she glanced up at me and immediately continued to ignore me. I stayed there for about another minute in case she was busy with something on an iPad but she continued to keep her head down looking at something and I eventually just drove away because I didn’t wanna be rude to her. As a college student and someone who works as a waitress in food service I understand how tiring it can be at work but completely ignoring someone that you have acknowledged would have gotten me fired. I don’t want anyone fired just for her to be aware and respectful.

Store is under going renovations but still open, the drive through is closed so only walk in service available.The server was great and assisted me in seeing what rewards I had and when they expire.Only drawback was that the chocolate covered cream filled was dried out.
