★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wanted to experience a real Haitian bakery. The atmosphere is homey and quaint. The service was on point and quick. The food was amazing order consisted of Haitian patties variety (spinach, beef, fish, chicken), call the champagne and Haitian cookies (the cookies were OK). Would definitely recommend if you want a quick bite to eat.
May 21 · Motivational DaisyThe Haitian pates are amazing here. They have different varieties of pates (beef, chicken, herring, cod and spinach) and all are great. I highly recommend.
May 05 · The Prophet OutcastMy wife and I went to a couple of places that sold Haitian patties and tried them all to see which one would be served at our baby shower. We decided on La Baguette Shop, and placed an order for 10 dozen patties. I was planning on coming back here to pick it up the morning of but Marie, the owner I believe, asked where the venue was and offered to deliver the patties to our venue which was 30 minutes away, for us instead. There was no additional charge or anything that was added and she was doing it out of the goodness of her own heart, so we tipped her well for that gesture. I have to say, she went far and beyond what was expected and I cant say enough good things about Marie and the patties and this store. The patties were a hit at our baby shower and it was devoured by our guests. You can't beat that flaky buttery pastry! We will definitely keep supporting small businesses like hers! Thank you again Marie!
March 04 · HarryGreat pastries! Fresh and delish! This is a family owned business, where staff becomes family and so do the customers.
May 21 · Barbara GourgueWhen my brother told me that he no longer gets his patties from our local spot because the lady behind the counter was rude to him, I thought he was being dramatic. When my mother told me she no longer goes there for the same reason, again I thought she was being dramatic. After my third rude encounter today with the same woman I’ve decided to stop giving her the benefit of the doubt and just accept that I have to find a new spot. On two different occasions I asked her if she could separate the patties because of an allergy in my home and she caught an attitude with me as if I was asking her for the moon and the stars. Even after explaining to her that my sibling is highly allergic to fish she continued to give me a nasty attitude. Today I walked into the store with my 6 pound dog in a carry bag. As soon as she noticed the dog, she started screaming at me “Go Outside!” literally screaming. I tried to ask her if I could just tell her what patties I wanted and I could pay and everything from the door since she did not want me inside, but she just kept screaming “Go Outside!!”. Now I can understand if the dog was an issue, even though no sign about pets was visible . However, the way she was shouting at me is no way to treat a customer and she’s been rude to me without my dog. I requested an Uber to take me home and the Uber took seven minutes to arrive. At no point during the seven minutes did she try to poke her head outside and see what I wanted to buy. She stood at the counter and watched me until I got into the car. I am absolutely disgusted. All she had to do was tell me the dog could not be in the store instead of yelling at me like a wild animal . It’s sad that a whole family has decided that they will no longer spend their hard earned money here all because of the same rude employee. Maybe she should be in the kitchen since customer service clearly is not the right field for her.
