What is Worth Choosing
For a first-time visitor or a long-time local looking for the best of La Conchita Panaderia Y Pasteleria, the key is to embrace the self-serve tray and select a variety of their most popular and unique items. Since nearly all the pastries are incredibly affordable, it is worth mixing and matching to discover your personal favorites.
Start with the items that have earned the highest local praise. The Conchas are non-negotiable—their light, sweet texture makes them a perfect pairing for your morning coffee. Since many locals confirm this is the "only place" they've found them in Nashville, you must sample the guava pastelitos. These fruit-filled hand pies offer a delightful burst of tangy, sweet flavor wrapped in a flaky crust. Similarly, a slice of the "insanely delicious" piña colada cakes is highly recommended for a unique, tropical dessert experience that transcends standard bakery fare.
Beyond these specialty sweets, explore the wider selection of pan dulce. Look for items like Empanadas with various fruit or cream cheese fillings, Churros, and perhaps a slice of their famous Tres Leches Cake if you’re a fan of rich, moist sponge cake soaked in three kinds of milk. The selection often includes dozens of traditional options like Barquillos (Bavarian cream filled horns) or Cubiletes (mini cheesecakes), all offering a rich, comforting taste of Latin American heritage. The bakery is also a top contender for custom cakes for special events, but remember to call ahead to discuss your needs well in advance, especially for large, time-sensitive orders like a wedding cake. By embracing the wide, budget-friendly variety and the self-service format, your visit to La Conchita Panaderia Y Pasteleria promises to be a sweet, authentic, and truly local Tennessee experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great Latin American bakery! If you're lost like I was my first time, when you walk in there's a stack of food trays and tongs you use to help yourself to whatever and how ever many pastries your heart desires. The nice ladies up front will bag them up for you and they'll ask for what seems like what should be about half the price but the items are very budget friendly! This location has guava pastelitos, the only place I've seen them in Nashville. The little piña colada cakes are insanely delicious and the conchas are fluffy are sweet. There's also cakes and candies for birthday parties.
June 17 · Ted Faulknerthe bread is good and all but i had ordered a cake for my wedding and when i went to pick it up at the time they said , it was not there had to wait 30- 1 hour for it while running a tight schedule since it was my wedding day . cake got there and it was a mess. handed it with no sort of cover or anything , these pictures were taken right after we got in the car after getting it . Called to let them know and they asked to come back , so upset that it didn’t come out right .
November 22 · Jobana AlonsoI have been in there a lot of times and bought many cakes and pastries. They are always good. The reason I’m giving a one star review is I went in today to buy a cake, they were busy, so I stood by the cakes for about 10 minutes waiting for a break in the line so that I could tell them which cake I wanted. A man had just walked in about one minute Before they had a break in the line. The cashier came from behind the counter, walked past me like I did not exist and asked the man if she could help him. He said he was good so she turned around, walked past me again, completely ignoring me and went back to the counter. My husband is from El Salvador. I am white. he approached And she started speaking with him, asking him if he needed help. he pointed out the cake that we wanted. We both walked to the counter, and she still refused to acknowledge that I existed. I was paying and she still wouldn’t even look at me. So I put my money away , my husband paid . They will not get another dime from me.
February 20 · Lisa GibsonVery bad service, and bad cake. I ordered a cake with a design that I selected in the catalog that they have, and the cake that they gave me is totally different, I was so upset because they have the catalog that we can choose the design and it was so different. The cake is so bad, we eating right now and the taste of the cake is so bad. I will never come back to that bakery.
