La Salvadorena Bakery & Cafe

Bakery, Burrito restaurant ★4.0 (30)·$10–20

5094 Murfreesboro Rd suite f, La Vergne, TN 37086, USA

Very authentic bakery and cafe. Three of us “gringos” went in for lunch and had a lot of questions. We spoke little Spanish and they spoke little English but we ended up just fine. Very friendly ladies work there. We ate in at 2 of the 4 2-tops they had. A steady stream of people coming in to purchase bakery items. For lunch two had pupusa’s (pork and chicken with beans and cheese) and another guy had a quesadilla they served with a subtly spicy avocado sauce. We shared so all could taste. Spanish bottled drinks. I tasted a warm (temp hot) corn drink that was also quite good. Then we bought bakery items to go. No clue what you call them but they’re great. - David Bruce
