Le Panier Introduce
Nestled in the heart of Seattle's iconic Pike Place Market, Le Panier—known affectionately as "A Very French Bakery"—offers Washington residents a genuine slice of French culinary artistry. This is far more than just a place to grab a quick coffee; it is a dedicated Bakery and Patisserie that has been crafting traditional French goods on-site since 1983. From the moment you approach the storefront at Pike Place, the irresistible aroma of fresh butter, yeast, and sugar transports you straight to the streets of Paris.
Le Panier specializes in two major areas of French baking: the boulangerie (bread making) and the pâtisserie (pastry and cake making). Their commitment to classic techniques, using pure, high-quality ingredients, ensures an authentic experience that has garnered a loyal following. Though you may find yourself waiting in a line, especially on a bustling weekend morning, local patrons consistently affirm that the quality of the flaky croissants, exceptional éclairs, and perfect lattes is truly worth the dedicated wait.
The business thrives on the daily production of products made from scratch, ranging from crusty baguettes and rustic Pain de Campagne to delicate, perfectly formed macarons and luscious tarts. Whether you are seeking a decadent sweet treat or a savory start to your day, Le Panier provides an authentic, high-quality French experience right here in the Washington region.

Situated at 1902 Pike Pl, Seattle, WA 98101, USA, the bakery is an integral part of the Market's daily life, making it highly accessible to both local residents and those exploring the city center.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Waited in line for about 40 minutes or so on a Sunday morning but the pasties were delicious. The pistachio eclair was the best I’ve ever had. The almond and chocolate croissants were flaky and good. The tomato pastry was amazing and the mushroom one was also a tasty bite! The Palmer was also good. We ordered a few things to try. Overall, it’s delicious! You decide if the wait is worth it. 😊 For us, it was because we wanted to give it a try!
June 29 · Katelyn LuceroI recently visited Le Panier at Pike Place Market and had a truly wonderful experience. I ordered a latte and a cinnamon roll, and both were absolutely outstanding. The latte was perfectly balanced smooth, rich, and creamy exactly what you hope for from a good coffee. The cinnamon roll was fresh, soft, and full of flavor, with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and despite the busy location, the service was fast and friendly. If you’re in Seattle and visiting Pike Place Market, Le Panier is a must-visit for delicious pastries and coffee. Highly recommended!
April 28 · Par MoThe long lines for Le Panier made so much sense once I got my latte’s, the raspberry croissant, and the macaroons! The raspberry croissant was such a standout—flaky, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. Pairing it with a latte and those delicate macaroons? Total win. And yes, the warm service really adds to the charm and coziness of thjs place!
July 07 · Arch SGreat pastries are located here. The wait can reach around the building so be sure and get there early. Seating is available inside and you can enjoy your pastries while Pike street market operates.
September 14 · Art On the MoveWasn't super impressed. As someone who was visiting from oklahoma I expected more from Seattle food and coffee. Out of all the sweets we gor the eclair pistachio was the best. The brioche raspberry had almost no filling. All bread. The latte was more bitter then I would normally like even with a bunch of syrup. Probably wouldn't come back again
