★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Sometimes my breakfast sandwich is amazing. Other times like today, I wish I didn’t order it! I always ask for extra bacon and pay for extra bacon, but today there was what felt like less than the regular amount. This seems to happen more frequently than I would like. The sandwiches here are great, but the inconsistency leaves you slightly frustrated at times.
June 27 · Angry BunnySomething has changed in the past couple of years; the bagels have a faint taste of chlorine or something in them. The first time I experienced it, I thought it was a one-off issue, but now it seems to be consistent with every bagel I've purchased there.Like other reviewers, I, too, have gotten gray eggs from the microwave, so I've stopped ordering sandwiches and I just get bagels to go.I guess as long as people keep crowding the place, though — maybe it's because there's little competition — there's not much incentive for the owners to take these comments seriously and improve the quality.Service is pleasant enough, but not enough to overcome the weird taste of the bagels, scary eggs, or how untidy the store seems to be.
May 29 · Steven KI stopped here for a bagel sandwich because I heard they are the best bagels in town. I'm sorry, but you must have some terrible bagels around here if that's true. Mind you... it certainly wasn't a bad bagel... much better than the mass-produced bagels you get at the supermarket or bagel franchise stores. But, it was nowhere near the list of best bagels I've had. What struck me most strongly was that there was no flat top grille to be seen in the store. Bacon and eggs were reheated in a commercial oven type device. If I wanted a sub-par sandwich prepared like that, I'd go to Starbucks.Any small bagel store, bodega, or street cart in NYC or NJ will give you a much better breakfast sandwich experience. If you really want an amazing, top 10 bagel experience, invest the hour and trek on over there.
June 17 · Lou B do B QHaving worked in a bagel store as a kid, I can tell you this is how old-school bagels are made. Boiling vat and seeded and half baked on wood boards in a rotating oven. The flavor reflects that. Yum.
July 20 · Vengar E.M.First time here. The staff was so nice. Bagels were great. Best customer service! Thank you for the amazing experience.
