★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1So I went over a friends house for dinner and he had a Lupi's Bread on the table, Looked great. Tasted better. He told me about this little bakery in New Haven at 169 Washington Ave Lupi's Marchigiano Bakery. I went the next day for another Bread where I met Larry Lupi a true gentleman. His grandfather started the Bakery in 1900 when he came over from Italy, and now is being run by Larry and his brother Peter. So If you want to taste a little piece of heaven, stop by Lupi's and for a few bucks you can. Thanks Larry and Pete,Vinny
March 14 · Vincent DiMasiHave not been here for a while. The semolina bread, is my favorite. The only disappointment was the change in the cranberry bread. Used to buy a loaf that was cranberry nut, a much more artisan loaf, very European. While the new larger soft loaf is ok it lacks the flavor and texture of the previous loaf..
October 09 · Food LoverBest Italian Bread Of All Time !!
May 01 · louis anthonyNot only is the bread delicious, but the owner went above and for my aunt! She came in right as the place was closing to pick up bread she had reserved. She didn’t realize they were cash only, so she left empty handed. 15 mins later the owner calls and offers to meet my aunt in her hometown to deliver the bread. Service above and beyond!
April 02 · Jacqueline HealeyWe tried the stuffed spinach bread and whole what. Delicious and priced very reasonably. The two men who worked there were very friendly and helpful. Caution: No credit cards , cash only
