Mochinut Bayview Introduce
Introduction / Overview
Mochinut Bayview stands out in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin food scene as an exciting fusion dessert and snack spot. Located in the vibrant Bay View neighborhood, this shop is far more than a traditional donut destination; it specializes in the Japanese-American hybrid Mochi Donut, alongside the savory and trendy Korean Rice Hotdog (K-Dog), and a full menu of refreshing Bubble Tea. This unique concept offers Wisconsin locals an opportunity to experience popular global street food trends without leaving the 53207 zip code.
The signature Mochi Donut is the star, recognized for its distinct "pon de ring" shape (a chain of small connected balls) and its wonderfully chewy, bouncy texture—the result of using sweet sticky rice flour (mochi). Flavors rotate daily, ensuring there is always something new and exciting for regulars. Alongside the sweets, the menu features a range of hearty and creative Korean Rice Hotdogs, which can be filled with mozzarella, a beef hot dog, or a half-and-half combination, and coated in unique toppings like crispy ramen or crushed Hot Cheetos.
While the concept and specialty items are a huge draw, and some customers praise the overall aesthetic and the quality of their bubble tea, it is important for prospective patrons to be aware of mixed public feedback. Reviews suggest a general need for better consistency, particularly regarding the freshness of donuts and the cooking quality of the rice hotdogs. However, the unique offerings firmly establish Mochinut Bayview as a must-try for Wisconsin food adventurers.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wish I could give ZERO STARS. From start to finish this was an overall horrible experience ending with FOOD POISONING. For a place that’s known for their donuts they had such a little, odd variety to choose from. There was hardly any donuts out and the ones that were served were not fresh at all. Tasted like they had been sitting out for days. Not to mention the person at the front counter was kind of rude and didn’t have any knowledge of what kind of donuts were out for the day.DISAPPOINTED to say the least but that wasn’t even the worst of it. We waited for quite a while for two corn dogs and we were the only people in there. When they came, they looked promising. From bite one it was clear that the dough inside wasn’t cooked all the way through and still raw, which was weird considering how long it took to get our food. Not to mention the second and LAST bite I could even stomach to take had a weird hard piece that I couldn’t even describe, almost like a scab? I have no idea. Just sitting inside the corn dog. I left my food right then and there. Sick to my stomach. That following night I came home & had the worst stomach pains, fever/chills, proceeded by me throwing my guts out and diarrhea.Safe to say I will NOT be eating here again. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, not worth a dime of my money. DO NOT RECOMMEND
July 25 · Skylar DowneyI’ve been coming to this place a few times. Their matcha bubble tea is really good, but their hot dogs are always a hit or miss. Every time we go, they are either big and thick or their just super skinny and small. For the price at almost seven dollars for one, I expect it to be bigger and consistent. Also, today I bought a half and half hot dog (cheese and hot dog) and did not get any cheese at all. Their promotional photos are very misleading for their hot dogs. Disappointing.
April 27 · ArazeliI ordered the matcha, pineapple and I'm not sure what the the third one was, these donuts were a little fancier then what I'm used to but the unique shape and the texture were very appealing, they have a nice outside parltio area and the indoor seating was spacious and well lit
June 09 · Trucking With kingfish (Trucking with kingfish)If you're cravin' something sweet Mochinut has you covered! The bobba is delicious and the mochi donuts are soft and chewy with rotating flavors each week! You can also snag a kdog to counter some of the sweet too.
September 13 · aaron kroupaTo be frank, the wait was horrendously long. Not only was the batter inside still a bit raw and doughy, I had to wait over 20-25 minutes for it to come out. There was also no employee on the mochi nut side so I had to wait an EXTRA 10 for a roll up staff to assist me since they were a bit busy on that side. Not SURE if they are under staffed but I can easily guess that they are probably overworking their staffs because the person who helped me looked tired and rushed. I shouldn’t apologize but I definitely will on behalf of the terrible management for them all. 1/5 will NOT be coming BACK!!
