Mochinut Introduce
For residents across Massachusetts seeking a unique twist on classic treats, Mochinut in Boston's bustling Chinatown offers a delightful and distinctive experience. This popular establishment has carved out a niche for itself by specializing in mochi donuts, a hybrid pastry that combines the chewy texture of Japanese mochi with the familiar ring shape of a donut. Beyond these innovative confections, Mochinut also serves up savory Korean rice hotdogs and a wide array of refreshing bubble teas, making it a versatile destination for those craving something different.
Mochinut stands out in the vibrant Boston food scene by providing a creative fusion of Asian and American dessert concepts. Their signature mochi donuts are celebrated for their distinctive texture – crispy on the outside, yet delightfully chewy and soft on the inside, a result of the glutinous rice flour used in their preparation. This unique characteristic sets them apart from traditional donuts, offering a lighter, more elastic bite that many find addictive. The ever-changing lineup of flavors keeps the experience fresh and exciting, encouraging repeat visits to discover new favorites.
While a single customer review mentioned an unpleasant odor and a stale donut on one occasion, the overwhelming majority of feedback for Mochinut locations, and the general concept, points to a highly positive experience. The rapid service, even during busy periods, for both donuts and bubble teas, highlights their efficiency. For Massachusetts locals looking to explore innovative desserts and a fun culinary concept, Mochinut in Chinatown promises an engaging and flavorful adventure that goes beyond the ordinary bakery offerings.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It smelled like urine inside, and the donut was a bit stale and cold. The sesame mochi donut is usually my favorite, but wasn’t very good. The fruity pebbles donut at least tasted like fruity pebbled
June 19 · Jun SimonsA great spot for to-go boba or mochi donuts! They had a great variety of tea or milk tea options and lots of add in pearl choices. It was busy when we stopped but they were really quick and the drinks were yummy!
May 18 · Madeline KleinI ordered the Strawberry Yogurt and it did NOT look like the yogurt drink or taste like it. There's no yogurt taste at all, and very liquid. I had to bring it back to the counter and got the Mango Pomelo Yogurt instead as my replacement. Again, it was bad and I showed it to the staff and told them it does NOT look or taste like the other Mochinut locations. It was NOT yogurt at all, again very liquid like a tea drink. I was very disappointed about the inconsistency of this franchise and the drink was way off. I also did not get the Pomelo pulps, instead they added the mango syrup. By then, I left because it was my second time returning for a drink and it's not worth of my hassel to go back again.
May 05 · Saulein FakhryMochinut offers more than your average donut. Their chewy, less-sweet treats come in a variety of tempting flavors. I particularly enjoyed the Oreo, strawberry, and UBE flavors. They're all visually appealing and delicious.
December 07 · AbbeyEvery time we go out for dim sum we see this place, but are too full to eat anything else. Today was the day.The donuts are amazing! The texture is chewy but light, but dense enough to be satisfying. We tried the blueberry (our favorite of the bunch), matcha, and Fruity Pebbles. All were great. $3.50 a donut, with slight discounts for buying more.We really need to come back to try the Korean style hotdogs and the fried ramen.A nice little sitting area too.
