Ogi’s European Bakery and Deli was founded in 2018 by Ogi and Dora Stoyanov, a Bulgarian couple who set out to share the comforting, time-honored dishes of their homeland. While the ownership has since transitioned to Hafsa Mirza, the commitment to tradition, community, and the legacy of authentic European flavors remains the core of the business. Mirza, who has Bulgarian roots, continues to honor the original vision by using classic, time-tested recipes and high-quality, real ingredients. This is a place where you can discover the genuine delicacies of Eastern Europe, prepared with meticulous care and traditional mastery. Whether you're craving a satisfying lunch, a breakfast treat, or a specialty cake for a celebration, Ogi’s offers a pure, balanced, and preservative-free approach to European dining.
The atmosphere at Ogi's European Bakery and Deli, while perhaps unassuming from the outside, is immediately welcoming. Customers often note the palpable sense of care and expertise happening in the kitchen. The focus here is on the quality of the product and the richness of the flavor, ensuring that every pastry, bread, and sandwich tells a story of culture and craftsmanship. For those with a sweet tooth, the non-saccharine nature of the treats—sweetened perfectly but never overly sugary or artificial—is a major highlight, pairing beautifully with a cup of coffee.
When you visit, you'll find a delightful combination of both a bakery and a deli, allowing you to build an entire meal, from an authentic Eastern European savory roll to a world-class dessert. The bakery is known for unique cakes crafted by a European culinary school-trained chef, which is a major draw for Texans looking for something beyond the conventional. The combination of savory deli options and irresistible sweet treats makes Ogi's a versatile and valued local gem in the McKinney community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This review is for the Reuben sandwich only as I haven’t tried anything else here as this was my first visit. I wanted to love this place, but the facts are the Reuben just wasn’t very good in taste or construction. I had to try the sandwich components individually to find the issue. Perhaps the most disappointing part was the Rye bread as this is a bakery first. The bread which was burnt on the edges was still somewhat soft and soggy somehow. No crisp at all from the flat top. The corned beef wasn’t any better or worse than what you could get at the grocery. The sauerkraut didn’t stand out either. The way the bread was poorly toasted made the sandwich fall apart after a few bites. It came with a pickle and bag of chips. The place itself is very small and seats maybe 10 people. It’s a to go spot which is what I did. I will say some of the pastries looked very good and perhaps that’s why they have such great reviews. The staff was also very kind. I think the main issue was the person putting the sandwich together just didn’t do a good job. I would try something else here another time, but it won’t be the Reuben which I’m sad to say because I love Reuben’s.
July 24 · B TizzyIt truly feels like kismet that I stumbled upon this gem without any prior plan. What a delightful surprise to find such authentic, delicious European baked goods right here in McKinney. A must-visit for anyone craving a taste of something special!Simply stated - here - you will find a true testament to the miracle of America - the authentic tastes of the world right in your own backyard! Where else could you walk into a seemingly random bakery and discover the genuine delicacies of Eastern Europe, prepared with such traditional mastery?Don't let the unassuming storefront fool you. While the front of the bakery isn't flashy or luxurious, it's immediately clear that the owner knows exactly what she's doing. There's a palpable sense of magic happening in the kitchen at the back, where every treat is crafted with care and expertise.

September 24 · Allan FergusonHafsa is the guaranteed best baker you could ever find. I have tried many of her cakes, and each one leaves me amazed at how awesome, fresh, and delicious all her pastries are. My husband and I are officially Ogi’s European Bakery fans for life. We want to acknowledge the hard work and effort of our friend Hafsa, the staff, and how accommodating everyone is towards providing the best service imaginable. You are appreciated, valued, and we extend our gratefulness to all of you. Thank you my friend, your cake was the highlight of our special moment. You are legendary!
July 31 · Andrea TheisLooks old. Food is good. Soda was partially frozen. Menu has a lot of choices. $20+ for lunch. Small neighborhood deli. TV service was broken (stared at a help screen). No music; silence and loneliness as I ate. The owner or manager popped her head out to ask if I had eaten here before. Then walked away after I said no. 🤔 what’s the point of asking? It’s not a bad place. Just looks empty and old.
