★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Don't be sour that I went and you did not. For starters, I met up with Sour Doug...check it out...This is such a cool bakery. Really good vibes here. There were kids playing over in the office area. The staff was really mellow and cheerful. But how could you not be when you supply this area with really good bread. My mom bought a sandwich sourdough. I kind of cheated, I had a sandwich on Red Oak sourdough the night before when I landed back in Plattsburgh. Also as I was home, mom stocked up by buying m a blueberry maple Maine sourdough. My parents love walking to the Red Oak. I get reports weekly of their ventures there. My mom was thankful I came in towards the end of the week as the bakery is only open Wednesday through Saturday. I was about to be the heel for ending the existence of those last two slices the night before!! I would've been toast. (Bread Humor on the rise? Well dough humor is). The bakery will slice your bread there for you. Read the witty sign above the slicing machine. Anyways, really great spot. Oh they have a neat take a pin, leave a pin. Anyways bring dough (money) to get dough (or limited rolls, cookies, treats)...Ingredients on the bread are Flour, Water, Salt...I imagine love too...But really really good bread...Go Eat it!!!!*sandwich made on the sandwich sourdough.
June 21 · JP MasellaWhat an awesome place. I have returned to live in Plattsburgh and was pleasantly surprised when I saw this bakery. Everything looks delicious. I got a load of sourdough and it was awesome. This will definitely be a staple in my future. Thank you!
June 23 · JonahGlad we stumbled upon this place while shopping in downtown Plattsburgh. The sourdough bread is so gorgeous you won't want to eat it, but please eat it because it's wonderful! We enjoyed the unique flavor combinations. The other bakery treats were amazing as well. They also have a pin exchange board, and host work by local artists there. I had a great chat with one of the owners. We will definitely be back!
July 01 · Kathy Ellen DavisWhat a great place to have downtown. Don't really eat bread, but I am still here at least 2-3 times a month for bread, as well as the best cinnamon rolls I've had, and other items. Have yet to have anything that is not amongst the best that I have had. Owners are great and super friendly. Go Birds!
May 03 · Casey McClainWhat a great place to buy excellent carbs! I got a really yummy brownie for my wife (I sampled it) and two out-of-this-world cheddar cheese muffins for myself. I am going back to get a loaf of sourdough soon. Wish they were open more days of the week, but NBD. We're within walking distance. : )
