Royal Pastry Introduce
For residents of the San Fernando Valley and the greater Los Angeles area searching for an authentic, high-quality bakery experience, Royal Pastry in Granada Hills is an essential destination. More than just a local sweet shop, Royal Pastry is renowned for bringing the rich culinary traditions of the Mediterranean—specifically known for its excellent Turkish and Balkan pastries—right to the heart of Southern California. The business has successfully carved out a niche by specializing in goods that are both deeply traditional and expertly executed, making it a standout among bakeries in the region.
Royal Pastry’s commitment to quality is evident in its diverse and specialized menu, which beautifully balances both sweet and savory items. Patrons consistently praise the bakery’s mastery of specialties like Simit (fresh, soft-baked circular bread with sesame seeds) and various forms of Baklava, including rich Pistachio and Walnut varieties. One enthusiastic customer even claimed that the Simit at Royal Pastry surpasses the experience they had in Constantinople/Istanbul, a testament to the bakery’s authentic approach and dedicated craftsmanship. Furthermore, their take on Western pastries, such as the Croissant, is described as "exquisite, light and airy, full of butter flavor," proving their technical versatility.
The bakery is perfectly geared towards a convenient, Quick visit, ideal for grabbing a freshly baked Mediterranean treat and a cup of their offered Coffee on the go. While the bakery aims to provide excellent Breakfast options, some feedback suggests that morning visitors should allow extra time, as the delicious items may take a little while to be fully ready after the official opening time. Nevertheless, the high quality of the unique offerings, supported by a business that clearly listens to customer feedback regarding important details like pricing visibility, ensures a professional, delicious, and distinctly flavored experience every time.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Let me just say that after having simit in Constantinople / Istanbul and then trying it here at Royal Pastry, definitely I vote for Royal. GREAT JOB guys.Croissant was exquisite, light and airy, full of butter flavor, and each layer was evenly cooked.I'm yet try their cakes, that's for next time.I recommend 👌 wholeheartedly!I did notice some of the low-star reviews that point to pricing and lack of price tags. As you may see in my photos all items have tags, perhaps this is after-effect; nevertheless it tells me they listen to what customers want. Maybe let's tell businesses how to improve on spot rather than posting.I can say that prices rose everywhere and not just in bakeries
March 19 · Rose AnneInteresting they are opening at 8:30. It was early before. If you try to sell something for breakfast you should open early. Even when you go 8:30 they are not ready yet, 8:30 their opening door hour not ready to business hours. They also need at least 20 minutes to prepare something that you can buy. I'm very disappointed.
August 02 · Irfan TOne of the few Turkish bakeries around OC/LA. I tried acma, pogca, simit, kadayif, ay coregi and everything tasted pretty good. Almost as good as the ones in Turkey. They don't have a lot of drink options.
March 18 · eyupThis is one of the best bakeries I have found in the larger Los Angeles area. The pistachio cake is to die for drizzled dark chocolate. Savory cookies are a special treat. And the showstopper is the sweet cheese pastries only served on the weekends. I buy them in bulk now. The bakery is very small with only a few seats outside, I would recommend this as a spot to pick up and take elsewhere to enjoy.
July 19 · Isa LAThis place cheats you. When you buy by the pound, they include the heavy box as the weight. The pastries are also one of the poorest qualities I have tried in all of Los Angeles. So stale and dry. Why go here when there's an Armenian or Persian pastry on every other street?Royal Pastry I won't be buying from you again. Two times I tried, and twice I had a poor experience.I don't know how you're in business. Especially because the owner is so unpleasant and rude.STAY AWAY FROM HERE unless you want to waste your money and time.
