In DC, I have tried MANY shokupan loaves from HMart, Silla, and smaller Japanese markets. This is the BEST: perfect balance, perfect crumb/texture. You will become addicted. So keep an exercise habit and reward yourself with a pillowy crispy golden toasted slice with melted butter as a reward and life will be good. Also, I can’t believe they bring it to my door—can’t handle how convenient, luxurious and special this bakery is.
