We visited Spread Bagelry in Newtown, PA on both Saturday and Sunday mornings for breakfast/brunch, and the experience was surprisingly inconsistent across the two days.First, the positives: the location is fantastic—family-friendly with a nice outdoor play area, making it a great option for takeout or dine-in, especially if you’ve got little ones. The bagels themselves are truly delicious and fresh.However, consistency and service were major issues. While Saturday brunch went smoothly, Sunday was a disaster. The the disorganized and inexperienced staff made the situation worse. The wait time exceeded what is reasonable. To make it worse, we received the wrong order, and when I mentioned it to the manager, I was brushed off. Instead of listening, he insisted I must have ordered incorrectly—even though I had clearly specified what I wanted. I wasn’t looking to argue, so I just re-ordered and paid AGAIN.To make matters worse, three people in our party ordered the exact same, egg white bagel sandwich—and each one came with different amounts of spinach and cheese. The lack of attention to detail, slow process and inconsistency in food prep was disappointing, especially for a place with such high-quality ingredients.In short, Spread Bagelry has the potential to be a standout spot in Newtown. But until the staff training and management improve, it’s tough to justify more than a 3-star rating. Great food let down by poor service and a lack of consistency. A real shame.

Recommendation-just a tad chilly in the cafe, but I know can be hard to regulate depending on your system to keep back of line cool for the team.Service: whoever made our bagels-incredibly friendly and gave great recommendations!Will definitely be back!!!

A splendid bagel eatery with a variety of bagel selections. Order a Philly special/ with Egg bagel. ( Kiss the chef on this one ) A cozy atmospheric environment makes it easy to lounge. Either quiet gathering or evening lunch or date night locale. Including an outside seating area that has turf with lounge chairs. ( Close at 7:00 p.m. Or until bagels run out )Definitely worth the experience. 💯Now for the Con: the bagels are little pricey, on average for spending around 20 to $30 just for two people. Is it worth it?... On occasions this is more of a once-a-month eatery not everyday or other day. ( For those who can Ball/$$😅 have at it.)

I had the classic smoked salmon on and everything bagel not toasted. I believe a bagel should stand on its own and should not need to be toasted if it's truly awesome. Tobago was extremely good. In general the sandwich is very good; however, does sliced tomatoes were just so so it being August the tomatoes should have been perfect.

Today was our first experience at Spread Bagelry. We went in on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. We had the avocado toast and the club and both were amazing. We decided to sit inside to eat and were watching Jenn preparing the coffee, she was extremely efficient and very pleasant with the coffee based drinks on point. Overall a great experience with the personnel and the food, we will be back.
