Sweet Stuff Inc Introduce
Introduction / Overview
Located conveniently in the heart of Biloxi, Mississippi, Sweet Stuff Inc has been recognized as a local bakery providing custom cakes and baked goods to the Gulf Coast community. Situated on the busy Popp's Ferry Road, this establishment focuses on providing specialty items for significant life events, from birthdays to weddings, alongside quick, everyday treats. The category for this business is explicitly listed as a Bakery, focusing their product scope on traditional baked fare.
The bakery aims to accommodate modern customer needs with service options that include In-store pickup and Takeout, making it an accessible stop for people on the go. Furthermore, the shop facilitates transactions with modern payment options, accepting Credit cards, Debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. This commitment to convenience aligns with the pace of life in the Biloxi area.
However, local shoppers should approach custom or event orders with clear expectations, as customer feedback regarding service and order fulfillment has been notably polarized. Two detailed customer reviews highlight significant issues, primarily concerning custom orders and the resulting interactions with the staff.
One reviewer detailed a "god awful" wedding cake that was wrong in design and color, dry, and fundamentally inedible, requiring them to purchase replacement desserts elsewhere (specifically from Mary Mahoney’s). This customer further described the owner's response as "very rude, unprofessional," and refusing a refund, attributing the dryness to making the cake "in advance." Another customer, while noting their cake "looks nice and it tastes good," expressed strong disappointment over the service. They felt their vision for a custom cake was not understood, and they encountered what they described as "passive aggressiveness" when picking up the order, noting the staff had a printout of communication ready "in case i say something about the cake." Both reviews stress a perceived lack of inquiry, caring, and proper customer service skills during the custom ordering process.
Conversely, other public records indicate that Sweet Stuff Inc has successfully created dream cakes for other local couples, with some online wedding-specific platforms showing a positive rating, and previous testimonials praising the staff as "easy to work with, professional, and experienced," and highlighting their ability to deliver beautiful, delicious cakes for major events. This discrepancy suggests that while the bakery is capable of high-quality products, customers may experience inconsistencies in service, making detailed and persistent communication during the ordering process crucial for any Mississippi resident choosing this bakery for a major event.

What is Worth Choosing: Custom Creations with Caution
Sweet Stuff Inc is worth choosing for Mississippi residents who value a local, dedicated bakery specializing in custom cake designs. Their presence on Popp's Ferry Road provides a convenient, centrally located option in Biloxi, and their acceptance of various payment methods ensures a quick and easy transaction process. The fact that their products, when executed correctly, are described as tasting "good" and looking "nice" means they have the foundational ability to deliver a satisfying product.
However, based on the frank feedback from local customers, particularly regarding high-stakes orders like wedding cakes, prospective patrons in the Mississippi area should proceed with caution and meticulous planning. The recurring theme of rude or passive-aggressive service and major order fulfillment issues (like incorrect designs, dry cake, or missing filling) suggests that customers must be prepared to be highly detailed and proactive throughout the entire process.
To mitigate potential risks, local customers choosing Sweet Stuff Inc should consider the following steps to ensure a positive experience:
- Document Everything: Get all design, color, flavor, and filling specifications in writing or through clear, confirmed text messages, as one reviewer was pleased they had done.
- Confirm Freshness Policy: Ask clear questions about the bakery's production schedule, particularly for multi-tiered event cakes, to ensure the cake is as fresh as possible for the event date.
- Inspect Thoroughly: Take the time to meticulously inspect the cake upon in-store pickup before leaving the premises, verifying every detail against the original order, especially for critical, non-refundable purchases like wedding cakes.
Ultimately, the choice to use Sweet Stuff Inc comes down to balancing the convenience of a local, specialty bakery with the need for clear communication and attention to detail to overcome reported inconsistencies in customer service.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Why must we have to give a star rating? They deserve zero. Pls note fellow readers and reviewers to read these reviews before purchase. What people are saying about the owner and staff about rudeness and poor customer service are 100% true.My issue goes back years and years to my wedding day and the god awful cake they made me. The cakes design was wrong, the colors were wrong, the cake was so dry you couldn't even eat it. The fondant was gummy and flavor was terrible. The cake was suppose to have filling, however the cake was so dry it sucked it all up. The cake was unidable. As I and my groom were in shock, so we're our guests. We ended up having to order desserts from Mary Mahoneys to serve our guest. Our reception was in the carriage house at the restaurant. Thank goodness they happily obliged and saved part of the day.We called Sweet Stuff about the cake. Talk to the owner. She was very rude, unprofessional and didn't care about the issue. She simply said, the cake was made in advance as we do most our wedding cakes because of production, so if the cake was dry and the filling not there that's why. Huh? I said I would like to be reciprocated for the cake. She simply said no, I can't do that. She rambled about cake policy. Look, if a cake is bad and you screwed up the whole thing, you take accountability. Pls folks, take your business elsewhere. This place is horrible. I still often wonder how this place stays in business. Shame on Sweet Stuff, and to the owner, you're a foul individual that needs to take classes in proper respectful customer service skills.
September 21 · Janice KohlI don’t typically write reviews but this experience really bothered me and i would hate for some one else to experience what i did. I only gave 2 stars because my cake looks nice and it tastes good. This review is more based on the service I received. When i first ordered my cake, i presented them two inspo pictures and was wanting a mixture of the two images. I tried to explain what it was i wanted and how i wanted my cake to look, but i didn’t feel that my vision was understood. And the only questions that were asked were: “what do i want it to say”, “what flavor”, and “when do i need it by”. I didn’t say anything, bc i did not want to come off rude as it was two nice older ladies taking my order. i go home still feeling as if my vision wasn’t understood and i explained everything to my mom and have her call them the next day, thinking they will receive the information better coming from her as she is more experienced than i am. At that pairing every thing was good and clear.Fast forward to today, the 18th of June in 2025, I go to pick my cake up. I am met with a friendly smile but when my cake is brought out to me, i was meant with a not so friendly situation. As the woman is showing me my cake i peep the print out text messages in her hand. Now, two things go through my mind. 1, she’s got them to go back over everything my mother text her to show me that she did everything that was requested or 2, she’s got these text in case i say something about the cake. Since she did not acknowledge the print out of the text that she had in her hand, i assumed them to be for reason number 2. So i did not appreciate the passive aggressiveness AT ALL! Had i not liked my cake, i would have simply said no thank you, gone about my day and disputed the charge. The lack of inquiry into a customers custom cake, the lack of caring, and the passive aggressiveness really ruined this whole experience for me even though the cake came out good.

September 28 · jhax jewellI went to pick up an ordered cake for my granddaughter Ari. So, I decided to try other sweets while I were there. The butter pecan cookie (for mom) lemon petit four (me) delious! All I can say! Cake beautiful. Delicious 😋
