★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I finally ordered from here for the first time about a month ago and I haven’t stopped eating it since. The sourdough bread is unreal!!! I make it as a peanut butter sourdough toast and I’m obsessed! I get sad whenever I get low. It’s legitimately the best gluten free thing I’ve EVER had (and I’ve tried a LOT). So far everything I’ve had is amazing but my favorite (besides the sourdough) has been the chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. My bf got me a cake from here for my birthday and I was distraught when I finished it. I might have to get myself a random cake a couple times a year 😅 As a bit of advice, order it the week you get it because you have to put in the order and it’s usually a couple weeks out. I promise you will love the food and I understand it’s not cheap but you can tell he uses the best quality ingredients. The owner is also very nice! I highly recommend this place!!!
September 15 · Kira EltonWe had a short visit to NC (Concord/Charlotte area). My husband changed to a gluten-free diet about a year ago. He found this place with his gluten-free research of places to eat, The Accidental Baker. We were in line at 836a, there was a line down the sidewalk and we grabbed the last 2 cinnamon rolls. I am not gluten-free and the baked goods are spectacular. The owner is very personable and friendly.🥯 bagels🥐 cornetti🫓 cheese Danish🍪 chocolate chip cookies🥯 cheddar, chive, Jalapeño biscuit🥐 cinnamon rolls
September 02 · TC YarmanOnly regret is I didn’t order sooner! I had heard about The Accidental Bakery a while ago and slipped my mind to research further. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when I just really wanted some gluten-free goods without having to make them myself! I placed an order and waited anxiously for today. When I picked up the goods I was greeted by Matt with a big smile and truly felt like I’d won the gluten-free lottery. I ordered the sandwich bread, half dozen bagels, take and bake cinnamon rolls, and the chocolate chip cookies.I’ve been gluten free and dairy free for over a decade and I’ve never had baked goods this phenomenal. I’d need an entire new review just to share my thoughts on the bagels! When he says the goal was to make everything suitable for allergy-friendly folks or those without allergies, he wasn’t kidding! Please do yourself a favor and order from The Accidental Baker or at the very least tell your allergy-free and food sensitivity friends. What a treat - thank you Matt and crew for making my week!
September 25 · Christina RI can’t say enough good things about this amazing bakery. Not only is Matt genuinely kind and passionate about what he does, but his gluten-free creations are next level. Every item I’ve tried has been delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully created — you‘ll never go back to store bought gluten-free items again!Whether you’re celiac, gluten-sensitive, or just love great baked goods, this is the place to go. He clearly puts so much heart into his baking, and it shows in every bite. Highly recommend supporting!
July 21 · Carlie SauerWhen I had to go gluten free, I thought it meant the end of baked goods for me. It had been months since I had a muffin or a coffee cake. This morning, the blueberry muffin brought me to tears. ❤️
