★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Bought from the 626 night market in Santa Monica and it wasn't good. Got the ube and pandan rolls. Not trying to be mean but if your gonna promote ube and pandan the flavor and any kind of sweetness should be there. Felt more ripped off I paid 33 bucks for both!!! Only a few bites with toppings and I was extremely unhappy with it. The toppings tasted like cream cheese with food coloring and a small hint of flavor very disappointed. I tossed both mines felt jipped to be honest. The staff was kinda nice at the market but the price for these big rolls absolutely not worth it. It might sell better or at all if this was improved and the price was a lot less.
April 01 · Alexis KunoWanted to support Filipino small business, so I bought one at the 626 Night Market. First of all, I had no idea it was cinnamon rolls-nowhere on the signage does it say “Ube cinnamon rolls”. Secondly, $20 per roll (even though they were large) is highway robbery. Packaging was nice, customer service was also good. They do not post their prices, which already told me that it was going to be overpriced, but WOW. I’ve paid less for fancy desserts at upscale restaurants. I don’t mind paying if it’s worth it…this roll was alright, but not worth the price I paid.
October 09 · Cheryl BoissiereBought this at the 626 Night Market just this last weekend. We brought it home to have for breakfast the next day. Followed the heating instructions to the letter and I must say my bf and I weren’t disappointed. The ube overload was really good, moist and not too sweet! Absolutely perfect especially when warm.We went to buy 2 more flavors the next day and the staff there even gave us 10% off because he was appreciative of us coming back. It wasn’t cheap getting it at the night market and I was fine with that because all of the prices were bumped up there anyways.
August 02 · B2LilithI went last night for 626 night market and wasn’t disappointed! I saw them originally on the 626 night market Instagram page. I love Ube but never thought of this concept. It’s different and delicious. Service was great and they gave my friend great recommendations as well. Didn’t have to wait long and it was served warm! Cinnabon may have some competition. Love this place. Would go again .
September 04 · Lo LoI love ube, and really wanted to like this -- but at $20 for ONE cinnamon roll, you have to deliver. The cinnamon roll itself was fine - not offensive, not amazing - if not on the dry side. The toppings were better than the bun itself - ube frosting, an ube paste that wasn't sweet (nice balance with the rest), and some ube puree.Ultimately I left feeling pretty ripped off. The fact that they didn't list their prices until after you'd ordered (unlike literally every other booth at Foodie Night Market) should have been a sign. I took a chance on Ubenabon and it didn't pay off.
