Born in Nashville and founded by local hospitality veterans, this small business is known for its fresh take on the classic bagel, blending artisanal quality with a modern, welcoming atmosphere. Ugly Bagel is on a mission to redefine the bagel experience by embracing imperfection—the name itself celebrates the fact that each hand-rolled bagel is a little different, proving that things don't need to be "perfect" to be absolutely awesome and delicious.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m a huge bagel snob so I can’t give it 5 stars BUT I would give it a 4.8! They are pretty darn good and the cream cheese gets 10/10. The veggie cream cheese has dill so if you’re a dill fan, it’s a must order. For my sweet tooth husband, the birthday cake cream cheese hits the spot! The bfast Sammie’s are 10/10. Glad to have another great bagel spot in Nashville :)
July 04 · Caitlin DillFun local place to grab a bagel downtown and love that it is part of the Arcade revitalization (such a cool historic space in Nashville). We walked in around 9am on a Saturday and there was no line for the kiosks to order. It's easy to order and customize on the screen. We ordered a Basically bagel sandwich on a sesame bagel ($7), a Sesame bagel with butter ($5), and a French Toast bagel with cinnamon brown sugar butter ($5). You can customize if you want the bagel toasted or untoasted, the amount of spread (regular, light -$1, loaded +1, or none -$2). All were incredibly tasty! Especially compared to what I have determined to be some pretty mediocre to average offerings from what others consider Nashville mainstays, these are a good bagel that also doesn't cost an arm and a leg. While we waited for our bagels we watched some cheddar jalapeno ones being made via the window into the kitchen which is a nice touch to the place. Our order was up in about 4-5 minutes. This is mostly a takeaway kind of place but there are a few tables outside where you can sit and eat if you'd like. Great place to walk to if you are already downtown and want some bagels.
March 26 · Grace StephensThe bagel was great with an everything lox and loaded. I have never had pickled onions in one and I have been eating lox bagels since I I was a wee thing practically grew up in a bagel shop. I loved it! There were a lot of capers which there was no option to have those taken out. The bagel was definitely good size for the price. REALLY my only complaint was when a bagel is not cut in half and you bite a nice chewy bagel all the stuff comes out the other end. Maybe cut all bagels. The other thing that might be more efficient is the way that you order but then you take out all the personable stuff and that’s what bagel shops/ donut shops / coffee shops are for.
July 11 · Mercedes WiegerWas looking for a bagel spot and found this. They are definitely hard to find. I was driving to location from Buena Vista area. Parking is not easy for this spot. It is more walkable for more local areas and hotels. Located in the “Arcade Area”. Nice looking and bright decor. Only have kiosks to order or online. Decent selection of bagels and smears. This visit had Asiago bagel with cream cheese and Cinnamon raisin with sausage, egg and cheese. My wife liked her Asiago but my cinnamon raisin was really just ok. It wasn’t very flavorful. I gave service a two only because I would prefer to speak with someone to order don’t like just a kiosk but I could be in the minority. I wanted to put the cream cheese on the side and kiosk had no ability to add a note to say this has it only allowed to have it on bagel. I would probably return given not many chooses and it wasn’t horrible.
March 22 · Brian O'DonnellSo yummy and delicious! First time here and I will be back! They had such a large selection too bad we were doing a food tour and only got one bagel to share so we could try more things from the other places we had lined up but I will definitely be coming back for more!
