What is worth choosing
Vicky Bakery Miami Gardens is worth choosing for the Floridian seeking a consistent, high-quality, and authentic Cuban bakery experience rooted in decades of tradition. The primary draw is the unparalleled quality and affordability of their core products. With pastelitos priced at just $1.30 and croquettes at $0.99, it represents incredible value for authentic, handmade food, making it a daily ritual for many local residents.
However, it is vital to acknowledge the feedback from local users. Customers should note that while the posted hours are accurate for general access, the bakery implements a policy of halting service for hot items, such as Café con Leche and sandwiches, approximately 30 minutes before the official closing time. This policy is reportedly in place to allow for machine cleaning and cool-down. While this information is not always publicly posted by the bakery, a prudent local consumer should plan to arrive well before the final closing time to ensure they can order the full menu of hot food and beverages.
Furthermore, one review mentioned an isolated concern regarding the visible cleanliness of a display case. While a single observation does not define a business, a professional approach would be for management to ensure the most stringent cleanliness standards are visibly upheld to maintain customer confidence.
Despite these operational and cleanliness notes, the fact remains that Vicky Bakery is a deeply established South Florida institution. Its broad menu, comprehensive service options, and commitment to full physical accessibility make it an indispensable local resource. For a guaranteed taste of Miami’s classic Cuban flavors, from a quick Pastelito to a substantial Pan con Bistec, Vicky Bakery remains a highly recommended stop.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1As I was sitting down waiting for my food, I noticed under one of her displays there was black mold growing. This has got to be a health code violation. If they’re not cleaning this, I’m wondering what else they’re not cleaning in the back
July 10 · YouTubeAddictI LOVE Vicky Bakery . . . but I have to agree with some of the comments previously posted.Everyone should be aware that regardless of the hours advertised (i.e., open until 7pm on M-Fri; 8pm on Sat; and 4pm on Sun), if you go to this particular bakery 30 minutes before they close, then you are only able to buy the pre-made items. In the past, I used to go there 5-10 minutes before closing and I was always able to get cafe con leche, sandwiches, etc. However, as of the last few months or so, you are no longer able to get cafe con leche or hot sandwiches 30 minutes before closing time. I asked why and was told by one of the ladies that they need to turn off the machines 30 minutes before closing time to allow them to cool off before cleaning them. I don't know if machines need to cool off for 30 minutes, but if that is what they want to do, that is fine. However, the hours advertised on Google should reflect this information.NOTE TO OWNER: If you are going to stop serving coffee and sandwiches 30 minutes before closing, then as a courtesy to your consumers you should post this information publicly for all to be aware.
April 22 · Janet F.Been going here for years and unfortunately over the last two years the service has completely declined total down fall. Employees work in reverse with no work flow structure at there own given pase. Management seems to not care. I know multiple people who have just stopped going for this same reason. Its a shame Takes you 30 minutes minimum to get a simple pastry.
July 03 · Alan GonzalezI did uber eats and I speak and fully understand the website and English. The app ask you pastelitos platter assorted croqueta quedo carne etcI did it as I understand and it’s not my first time. I was sent the wrong item and when I called the lady she was insulted and very Offended. She continued to tell me I ordered wrong. I know what the app says assorted or select what you want. She continued to argue with me . After I paid Instacart delivery and fees she said send someone to get your order. The person that I sent said the lady was very rude and offensive. I have proof and receiptsOf my order. The owner needs to take accountability of these women they have working there that don’t even speak English and offend customers.
August 17 · Nancy FernandezWent in about 15-20 minutes before close and bought a cake along with two platters of guava and cheese pastellos for $26 & asked the woman working that seemed to be the manager (blonde hair about 5’9 to 5’10 tall )if she can write happy Birthday on a cake for my daughter and she refused and said “ We don’t do that here”…as I waited she seemed to be in a hurry to leave. I then asked her if if I can also have 2 large cups of cafè con lechè she said they’re closing at 7 and very much NOT FRIENDLY with customers.I will never buy here again. Thanks for the experience.
