★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Yao Bakery is a true hidden gem! I haven't had authentic Hong Kong-style egg tarts in such a long time, and discovering this place felt like finding a treasure. The flavors are reminiscent of the lost tastes I’ve been longing for, and it’s clear that everything is crafted with great care by the owner. The bakery offers an incredible variety of breads, cakes, and egg tarts — I was truly amazed by the sheer number of options!Overall, I highly recommend everyone to give it a try. I’ve become a loyal fan of this shop. Although many might think the prices are a bit high, I believe it’s absolutely worth it. Everything is handmade with genuine craftsmanship. This place is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic baked goods!
April 27 · Anna LLove their sesame mochi drink, the mango palmetto drink, the chestnuts drink… all these sound exotic flavor but taste real, not from those fake powder or syrup. Egg tarts are the bomb! The crust is light & flaky, authentic! I also like the meat floss cake. Sounds weird, but Asian will know how good and diverse the meat floss can do to food. It’s a cozy, simple and clean mama papa shop. The baker is proud of all his pastries. This is by far, my favorite Asian pastry shop in town.
November 15 · Tina YangIt's nice to see Asian bakeries expanding into other areas of the valley. There's a good selection of items, especially on the drink menu. The boba in my brown sugar milk tea was low quality, although the taste of the drink itself was good. Drink and bun prices were ok, bread and cake prices were a bit steep. The bakery is cute with a nice seating area. The ambiance is pretty welcoming.
February 13 · Samantha HongAmazing. The drinks we had are high quality and use real fruit. The owner was so sweet. It’s a husband and wife. The owner worked in a bakery in China for 25 years. Then he came here and worked in the Chinatown bakery for 5 years. He opened his own bakery because he wanted to use high quality ingredients and have good presentation. We didn’t get a chance to try the bread since the selection was small.(it was only their 3rd day of opening). But can’t wait to go back and try it. It’s a little bit higher price, but because they use fresh ingredients and are a local business, I think it worth it.
June 24 · masajunaLove any opportunity to try a new boba place! I loved the mango Mochi coconut one I ordered. The staff were friendly and offered recommendations. Everything was clean and well kept and the breads/pastries looked fresh and smelled great.
