Yeastie Boys Bagels Introduce
For California residents in the South Bay, the quest for an authentic, high-quality bagel has often meant a long drive into the heart of Los Angeles. That changed with the arrival of Yeastie Boys Bagels to Manhattan Beach. Initially known for their popular food truck fleet that captured the attention of the wider LA area, the presence of Yeastie Boys at the prominent 451 Manhattan Beach Boulevard address has cemented their status as a major player in the local breakfast and brunch scene. They bring a distinct, New York-style approach to the humble bagel, combined with a West Coast flair for creative, maximalist sandwiches, instantly creating buzz and loyal following among local users.
Yeastie Boys Bagels operates on a philosophy that marries the traditional process of hand-rolling bagels with a menu that is both playful and gourmet. The concept originated in 2014, founded by Evan Fox, who sought to fill a market niche in the burgeoning LA food truck scene by providing quality bagels. Their unique name and pop-culture-fueled creations have helped them build a significant cult following throughout Los Angeles County. For South Bay locals, this location represents a long-awaited convenient source for what many consider to be superior, hand-crafted bagels, saving them the trek to existing locations in Venice or Silverlake.
The bakery’s menu selection is designed to cater to every kind of craving, from the simplest Bagel & Schmear to elaborate breakfast and lunch sandwiches. It is this variety, coupled with the commitment to fresh, hand-rolled preparation, that keeps the lines moving and the community talking. However, it is worth noting that the establishment’s rapid popularity in Manhattan Beach has also generated some local discussion regarding its impact and comparison to long-standing neighborhood competitors. This dynamic atmosphere underscores its status as an influential and much-discussed culinary addition to the Manhattan Beach landscape.
Location and Accessibility
The Manhattan Beach location for Yeastie Boys Bagels is strategically placed at 451 Manhattan Beach Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, USA. This is a highly visible and central location within the downtown area, making it an accessible spot for beachgoers, shoppers, and local residents. The nature of the service, often operating from a distinct food truck or dedicated pop-up style location, leverages the high foot traffic typical of this coastal California city center.
For local users in California, the location on Manhattan Beach Boulevard is an undeniable draw. It positions the bakery near the vibrant pier area and the primary shopping district, allowing customers to easily pair their bagel run with a walk by the ocean or other downtown activities. However, due to its placement in a bustling downtown environment, patrons should be aware that parking can sometimes be a challenge, a common characteristic of popular coastal destinations in Southern California. The nature of the business—initially established as a food truck phenomenon—means the specific setup is designed for efficient, quick service takeout, minimizing the need for prolonged dining-in and accommodating the high volume of morning rush customers.
The address is easily navigated using any modern mapping service and is central to the South Bay region, drawing customers not just from Manhattan Beach, but also from neighboring Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and El Segundo, all of whom appreciate having this popular LA brand closer to home. The clear visibility on a major boulevard contributes significantly to its high accessibility.

What is Worth Choosing Yeastie Boys Bagels?
Choosing Yeastie Boys Bagels in Manhattan Beach is a decision to embrace a product that sits at the intersection of traditional baking methods and modern, imaginative flavor combinations. For California locals, especially those who appreciate the convenience of a nearby gourmet option, Yeastie Boys offers several compelling reasons to visit.
Firstly, it addresses a specific culinary need. The South Bay has long been considered underserved when it comes to truly excellent, hand-rolled bagels. Yeastie Boys brings a recognized, highly-rated brand with a strong reputation for New York-style texture and flavor right to the doorstep of Manhattan Beach. One satisfied customer’s delight that they no longer have to drive to the far reaches of LA for “hipster-level deliciousness” perfectly captures the market value they provide to this affluent and demanding area.
Secondly, the menu’s creativity makes every visit an opportunity for a unique meal. While a basic bagel and cream cheese is available, the true value lies in their signature sandwiches. Whether you are looking for the delicate balance of the Lox Deluxe—praised for its “light and fresh” profile—or a hearty, comforting breakfast bomb like the Diss Track, there is a flavor experience for every mood. The use of custom, high-quality ingredients, such as house-made schmears and pit-smoked pastrami, elevates the offerings far beyond what is typically found at standard bagel chains.
Finally, it is a business that, despite its unconventional service model (often a food truck or pop-up), has proven its commitment to customer satisfaction and community engagement throughout Los Angeles. While its arrival has sparked debate regarding its placement—with some local users expressing concern about competition and parking, favoring traditional brick-and-mortar stores like the nearby Noah’s Bagels—its long lines and sustained popularity suggest a compelling, successful response to an unmet demand. In a coastal town that values quality and convenience, Yeastie Boys Bagels provides a trendy, high-quality, and highly accessible choice for your daily bagel fix, making it well worth the visit for a true taste of LA’s vibrant bagel scene.

Yeastie Boys Bagels Reviews
went half/half on a “lox deluxe” (so light and fresh!) and “diss track” (so warm and cozy!) with a friend and both were amazing. we enjoyed them on a bench at the pier just before the sun broke through the marine layer. it was a perfect morning with a little bit of shopping after and we didn’t have to drive all the way to venice or silverlake for hipster-level deliciousness. i love that we get our very own Yeastie Boys truck. thank you guys for coming to the south bay!
August 10 · Katherine VolanaBagels taste like a lead weight. Would love it if their dumb big truck would leave our little town, thanks. Better bagels at Noah’s down the street. They don’t pay rent like other local businesses do and are taking up parking in downtown…. Really hope this is short lived.
July 31 · Kelly SidneyStopped by the food truck while it was in MB. We placed an online order with an eta of 11 mins. We checked in twice with the truck and told it was still in the works. What was disappointing is that after 25 mins of waiting and checking a 3rd time cuz no one was calling out orders, we found our order was ready and had been sitting. We thought maybe the music was too loud, but the lady said they don't call out orders when ready. What to go place doesn't call out orders. The food was alright but probably won't return
September 22 · Taylor ClingerThey gave us the wrong order. The bagels were horrible, overpriced, and there was more cream cheese than anything else. Do yourself a favor and go to Noah’s down the street.
September 12 · CarlosIf the moon was made of cheese, would you eat it? Most definitely a hard pass... gimme dat Yeastie B's bagel banger
