★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great local pies made from scratch. I believe the establishment is run and owned by a family. Friendly service whenever I drop in. Highly recommend the beef & mushroom pie. You can order either the hot pies or frozen pies with the same fillings. Treat yourself to the cute fruit babies as well. They’re only $1!
April 14 · Eugene ChangThe best savory pies I’ve had sing Scotland! The pie crust itself is nice and flaky but not too doughy, and the filling is A+ on savoriness
September 05 · Kenneth HuangFriendly staff. Chill atmosphere and the pies were so GOOOOD!!! I even had to take some to go! Definitely recommend.
September 02 · CrisDec 2024We have been to this place multiple times now and have tried out most of their pastries and pies. Our absolute favorite is definitely the Lamington cake, we highly recommend it.We have only ordered online, so not much about the service. The staff we've talked to were all friendly and quick in retrieving our orders. Only complaint is they once switched an item in our order for something else and didn't tell us. We discovered it once we got back home (1 hour away). So we check the orders before driving away now.The store itself is small and cozy with limited seating. There is a low bar by the window, a few 2 person tables, and a high table in the middle. By the door is a small station with free water, utensils, and napkins. There is also a freezer with frozen, individually sealed take and bake pies. They are marked with abbreviations, with a key on the outside of the freezer. They also cut patterns on the top of the pies to help differentiate them. The key for that is on the paper envelopes they put pastries into. There is also a picture on their website, on the reheat instructions page.Of the pies we have tried, we definitely prefer the chicken based ones. All the beef ones, even the non-ground beef ones, are too salty for our tastes. The chicken ones are delicious. We particularly recommend the plain chicken and the bbq chicken. The pastries are all yummy, but not really noteworthy. The puff pastries themselves are soft, light, and flaky. The jam fillings they use are very flavorful and delicious. They also use real, hand-whipped cream. They were all yummy, but we would only really buy the Lamington again (which we did, 3 times). They are soft, moist, and very coconuty.
January 14 · Isabelle KuPerhaps my expectations were set too high, as this place came highly recommended. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t feel particularly special—nothing stood out in terms of flavors, textures, or overall experience. It was simply fine.
