Babba’s Bagel - Matawan Reviews
Quick stop before I hope the train back to Philly. Absolutely the best everything bagel I ever had. Fresh and sooo delicious. Service was fast and friendly
April 04 · TraAlmightyMy husband and I ordered 2 sandwiches. My sandwich had to be modified because they did not have the ingredients listed on their menu. I asked to cancel that order saying I would share my husband's sandwich. I paid over $24 in cash, and I was owed $10.65. The woman insisted I give her a divot or credit card to refund my money. I paid cash and I requested a cash refund. The woman gave me attitude and then bypassed my request, asking my husband if he wanted the money refunded to his card. When my husband said no, she shook her head and have us a look. Then grudgingly opened the cash register and have me $10. When i reminded her she was 65 cents short, she said if I had given her a card she would have given me a full refund. Now, 65 cents is no big deal, but as a business serving the public, it's the principle of the thing. This place is rude and overpriced!!
September 02 · Mariela OsorioToday's Visit, March 28th, 2023Unable to pin 📍 our current location on Facebook, but Google Maps can, for First Breakfast on the return to Medic Unit #1201 for the start of the 8 week rotation. The Atlantic Bagel Company has a spot just across from the Train Station.Today's sandwich was a Bacon, Egg, Cheese, Jalapeno Peppers on a toasted Hard Roll with SPK...It definitely was delicious and a more reasonable price than one of my sandwiches during the last 2 shift's on Medic Unit #1201...This was a good start on the shift with a uninterrupted meal!!!
November 28 · David M. DwightI used to go here when it was ABC BAGELS. Lovely staff and servicer. I’m in and out in under 5 minutes. Since the company/managerial change, the service and quality has gone down. Very inconsistent and mistakes that throw off my day. I come back out of desperation for coffee and food. I’m pregnant and need a quick pick me up before work.Below are my experiences:- I had eggshells on my bacon, egg, and cheese bagel- my French toast bagel was sliced after an onion bagel and it had onion residues on my bagel that made my stomach turn.- service today was rough. (5/28/25 at around 8:45 am) I order 2 bagels not toasted and just cut and 2 cream cheese filled bagels. The lady in the front could not identify any bagels and kept asking the other lady in the back who was very busy with orders. She basically stood around rolling her eyes while the other lady worked. Both were severely undertrained. An order that could be 5 minutes too over 10 mins.Overall, I’m deterred to come back to this place. I miss the staff and management before who made me feel at home.Quick update: my husband just told me that one of the bagels that was supposed to to be an egg everything was just a plain everything… wow 😑
May 28 · Michaela A. HughesThis place was good and our go to for a good year or 2. Lately it has been horrible, inedible, overpriced, trash. This is my current order, $15 for a breakfast platter, this is what I got. Stay away from this place.
