★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1What a great little place. I drove an hour just to go here for the baked goods and breakfast. It was worth every minute. The breakfast burrito is very large and very very good. She has a great selection of baked goods, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, muffins, and pecan sticky buns. The lunch sandwiches are equally as good. The place is kind of off the beaten path a bit, but worth the effort to get there. Her prices are more than reasonable. Make the trip. You won't be sorry.
July 23 · David Morey IIMom and I drove to the area to pick berries at a nearby farm (Mayfair--it was awesome) and stopped here. The Brown House Bakery and Cafe is lovely. The owners were so kind. Even though we were intruding on a closed day, they took the time to speak with us, and gave us all kinds of info about the surrounding area. A really cool story about another local farm just down the road where the original mansion was picked up and moved here brick by brick. And BETTY! Oh my gosh. All the love and pure goodness in the world wrapped up in one creature-this fuzzy sweet puppy. We actually drove up and walked in on a day they were closed (we didn't see the closed sign out at the road as we were driving--so sorry). Cheryl and the young lady who's name I didn't get (I'm sorry) were so gracious and kind and wonderful. This place restores faith in the wonderfulness in the world. We can't wait to come back again and have already started making plans to make a day of it. Thank you so much Brown House Bakery.
July 13 · Kristin BrittI picked up a few baked items. They were delicious. This is place is a little cramped and off the beaten path but it’s worth a little drive to change the scenery. The stuff is homemade and not artificial tasting. Muffins were good but I prefer a crumble topping. You have a winner if this small change is made. Cinnamon bun. Just get it.
