The appreciation for authentic international flavors is evident in the heartfelt testimonials from local patrons, who often highlight the friendly service and the delightful surprise of finding such specific Scandinavian treats as marzipan pastries, semlor (a traditional Swedish sweet roll), and the intricate Princess Cake right in their own city. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I highly recommend visiting this place at least once if you want to eat just normal cookies like chocolate chip or peanut butter as well as if you would like to taste something very specific like marzipan pastries, semlor or white chocolate mousse with strawberry coulis.Thank you for bringing the rich traditions of Scandinavian baking to Seattle! You definitely made Seattle more special, unique and international! Also, always nice and friendly service!
July 22 · Violetta FedotovaIncredible pastries! We had the Boller, chocolate croissant, jalapeño cheddar baguette, and the pesto breakfast sandwich. All were 10/10. The place is also super cute inside and the staff is very friendly. Loved it and would definitely return 🫶
May 27 · Victoria BellThis is a very nice bakery that's an 11min drive from Green Lake. They have an awesome selection of breads, cakes and pastries to choose from. Staff is very friendly and atmosphere is nice. They've also got stickers if you like to collect those for places you've been. And there is decent parking in the area along the streets. Highly recommend.
September 07 · Justin HooperDelicious Scandinavian bakery in Seattle! The selection is vast and tasty, from cakes and pastries to sandwiches and open-faced bread. The Radical chocolate chip cookies were a hit with a kid!The staff is friendly and there is a restroom available for the customers. However, the ambiance is lacking. To truly capture the hygge vibe, please consider adding more cozy touches, like plush seating and warm lighting, live plants and nice cutlery/plates. With a few design tweaks and some elbow grease, this place could be truly special!
August 03 · Mikhail VorontsovI love Byen Bakeri. My usual birthday ritual is to buy many slices of cake to take home and also a lil somethin to eat right then and there. They even sell bday candles right there at the counter. Walk across the street down by the office buildings and find the perfect bench by the Fremont Cut to watch the boats go by. Sometimes you can even catch sight of the Fremont Bridge rising up! For this birthday I got a slice of Princess cake (an absolute MUST), carrot cake, raspberry cake, and of course chocolate ganache cake. All delicious! Thank you Byen Bakeri!
