Choosing a local bakery in Illinois means investing in a community cornerstone, and Cake N' Bake offers several compelling reasons for the local user to visit. While it is important to note the mixed feedback on flavor consistency and customer service—which suggests an awareness of quality control and customer experience is needed—the unique aspects of this establishment truly set it apart.
The main draw is the bakery's specialization in premium, unique individual desserts. This is not your average donut shop; it is a place to find a high-end treat that is ready to eat. The Cheesecake Slices and Stuffed Croissants are frequently mentioned by patrons as items of high quality, with one user noting the pistachio cheesecake as an absolute favorite. The Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake Jars, in particular, have garnered high praise and seem to represent the best of their specialty offerings—rich, creamy, and unique in flavor profile.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Came here earlier today, first time and definitely will return. Amazing cheese cakes, chocolate pistachio so far is my favorite. Haven’t tried much of the options they have but so far, everything I tried here was amazing. The lady who work there was very polite, friendly and patient. Price honest wasn’t bad I got 4-5 items and 2 of them were huge delicious cheesecakes I paid less than $30. I wish these people a great success! Thank you very much!
September 14 · Tom MassI visited Cake N Bake after seeing their beautifully decorated cakes and croissant rolls on Instagram — they definitely looked impressive. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t match the appearance; it was quite average. We had confirmed details about the fillings, but all we got was colored cream with no distinct flavors. Another letdown was the customer service — we inquired about the fruit cone listed on their online menu, but the cashier rudely refused to acknowledge it. Overall, it’s worth visiting once for the visual appeal, but I wouldn’t go back.
May 25 · Sirisha KrishnaFor the money I paid just shy of $60 for 6 pieces of pastries I would expect a better service and attitude. The Bakery is small, really cute and vibrant for a date or to go with family friends but the staff was rushing me and couldn't answer my questions. Each time I asked a question they would not answer or they looked at me like I'm dumb. I understand they were busy with customers but I am a paying customer too and I deserve to know what I am purchasing. I am of ethnic heritage and I do know all about pastries and the quality of ingredients that go into making them. If it wasn't for the viral Mango that my daughter wanted to try I would not have visited the Bakery. I will not be returning and will post the reviews of each pastry I purchased and I will tell you I am not impressed. If your store cannot handle the rush of customers don't have a bakery 🧁
July 26 · Chrysoula SarantopoulosWords cannot describe how good these desserts were. We tried 2 desserts: macaroons and the Viral cake that looks like fruit (Mango and Lemon).Pros: EVERYTHING WAS TOP TIER QUALITY. The macaroons melt in your mouth and taste heavenly with each flavor having their own distinction. MAIN REASON to be here is the viral cake that looks like fruit. It is everything as advertised in that the taste is so amazing the moment you bite into the dessert. That hard shell goes into creamy texture with mango filling or lemon which we had both of. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EVERYONE MUST GO.Cons: It’s not about racism but the vibe was weird because the place is so pretty and well designed for a cake place but the music playing was Arabic. I love me some Arabic music but it wasn’t matching the vibe.
August 25 · Ybow KingbowI was excited to try this place, with stuffed croissant and while the croissant was tasty, it was a bit burnt, at least to the kind I'm used to. The toppings and filling were tasty. I got the blueberry cheesecake and I think it was good. It had a bit too much filling for me but that's more of a me issue since the texture of most fillings is off putting when I get too much in a bite but some people may really like that. The woman working was very kind and answered our questions with a smile! I wouldn't mind trying a few other items, as everything in the case looked so tasty. There were people that arrived shortly after us and the lobby area was not very large and again this is a me issue but I felt rushed. The woman working was not rushing us I just felt in the way trying to decide what to try. For three stuffed croissants, I believe after tax it was about $30 and they were very filling, so to me worth the price. I would say I hope they put some attention into their lobby. The display cases on the side that I believe were just decoration were lacking and the chairs were stained with multiple little spots but had the potential to be really cute.
