Opened in 2022 and located on Lafayette Avenue, I had the honor to attend Session 3 of a special Elite pop-up joining forces with Steph's Macarons at Carlos Bagel Shop thanks to Sara and the Yelp team.Upon entering this bright, spacious, and clean interior, my partner and I were greeted by a packed house with the locals. However, one knows that we came to the right place when its two LED-lit-up signs on the walls, “baked with love,” flashed before our eyes.I found my way to the other side, where Juliana (the owner’s daughter) assisted me and handed me a beautiful box containing the Crème Brûlée Bagel. The bagel was light, airy, not doughy, and tasted on point with the nice burnt sugar.Returning back, I was greeted by Steph, the owner of Steph’s Macaron, who offered me mini Crème Brûlée Macaron and Strawberry Shortcake Macaron.The macarons (pronounced "ma-ka-rooms) are thin, flavorful meringue cookies that are sandwiched together with some kind of filling. The meringues are what make these unique. The macarons were crisp on the outside, yet light and chewy on the inside.If one’s looking for a satisfying breakfast spot with fresh food and a welcoming atmosphere, we recommend this place.

I haven’t felt this way about a bagel in a while. It was perfection. The bagel itself was great, but the generous ingredients took this sandwich to the next level. The pepper jack cheese shined through, the bacon was delicious. Id like to hug whoever made this

Carlos Bagel is hands down one of my favorite spots in town! From the attention to detail in their business to their amazing breakfast and lunch options, everything here is top-notch. I've been coming here since we opened our doors in town, and their bagels just hit differently—always fresh with a great variety. My go-to picks are the rainbow bagels (a must for my niece, she loves them!), the Picante sandwich, and the Hawthorne hashbrowns. Today, I got to try their pizza bagel collab with a local deli—what a fantastic combination of two great businesses in town. Highly recommend checking them out!

Carlos Bagel Shop is as top tier as Jersey Bagel sandwiches can get. The food quality, kindly service, and welcoming vibes are consistent. It’s also a great place to take your time eating, sipping on well brewed coffee.Above all, I was so impressed to have my very first “egg everything” bagel sandwich, combing the best of both worlds of bagelry.
