Champagne Poetry Patisserie Introduce
Nestled on the vibrant SE Hawthorne Boulevard, Champagne Poetry Patisserie is not your average neighborhood bakery. It is an extraordinary destination that successfully fuses the technical finesse of French patisserie with the exciting, nuanced flavors of Asian fusion cuisine, creating what many Oregon patrons describe as an "edible art gallery." This women-owned establishment, helmed by Chef Dan Bian, has quickly become a standout in Portland’s dynamic food scene, known for desserts that are as visually stunning as they are delicious.
The experience begins with the aesthetics. The patisserie features an inviting, whimsical, and "Instagrammable" all-pink interior, often adorned with floral and delicate decorations that create a cheerful and enchanting atmosphere. The culinary offerings match this visual splendor. Chef Bian, with training from esteemed patisserie legends, brings a high level of sophistication to every item. From hyperrealistic mousse cakes that look exactly like the fruit they represent (like the famous Mango Tango) to delicate rainbow mille crêpe cakes, the focus is on nuanced, balanced flavors that are intentionally less sweet than traditional American desserts. This commitment to reduced sweetness, as noted by the owner, enhances the complexity of the ingredients—a welcome surprise for those who often find pastries "teeth-shatteringly sweet."
Beyond the breathtaking pastries, Champagne Poetry operates as a full-service cafe and wine bar. They offer a creative beverage menu, including a variety of unique lattes, milk teas with boba, and a curated selection of Champagne and sparkling wines, which, as the name suggests, are available for pairing with their decadent treats. This unique combination of high-end desserts, savory brunch options, and a celebratory drink menu makes it a perfect spot for an everyday treat or a special occasion.
Champagne Poetry Patisserie is conveniently located at 3343 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97214, USA. This placement in Southeast Portland's Sunnyside neighborhood puts it at the heart of one of the city's most eclectic and walkable shopping districts, making it easily accessible for residents across the Oregon metro area.
The business demonstrates a commitment to patron comfort and ease of visit by providing several key accessibility features. These include a Wheelchair accessible entrance, a Wheelchair accessible parking lot, and a Wheelchair accessible restroom. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Cute decor but sad to drive an hour for food not worth the hype.We tried 3 things the peach, the Christmas tree thing and the bus rose. They all pretty much taste the same. Very heavy on the whipping cream. Almost little to none of the flavors advertised. Maybe if the fruit filling hadn't been frozen so hard we barely could barely get a fork through it, than maybe that would've added to the over all flavor.Very pretty, but not as tasty as it looks. And the boys at the counter couldn't have seemed less pleased to be here.
September 14 · Linda NewmanStepping through the doors felt like entering a edible art gallery. Each pastry is a tiny masterpiece, almost too beautiful to eat... almost. But then you take a bite, and wow. The flavors are incredibly nuanced and sophisticated, a true dance on the palate. This isn't just dessert; it's an experience. The service was impeccable too, attentive without being intrusive. If you're looking for a treat that elevates your day from ordinary to extraordinary, this is the place. Prepare to be enchanted!
July 14 · Ali ShalhoubI have been here before a long time ago and it was great so I brought my kid. We loved our cakes the Marion berry cheesecake was the best. I thought I'd like the berry rose one best but it was too rich for me! I put the one I got from my previous trip on here as well it is the one on the white plate. The plate upgrade was wicked cute. Not in love with tip prompt then bus your own table and the water is out- if there is no service involved, tips shouldn't be a thing IMO.
June 14 · NikiThis place is incredible!! The Japanese soufflé pancakes are a must! So fluffy, delicious, and perfect. 👌✨Gorgeous pastries too pretty to eat; but I recommend you do, because they are amazing as well! 🥭🍓🍑I love coming back to such a fun vibe and atmosphere to try something new each time. So glad Champagne Poetry Patisserie is here 😃💖!
May 17 · Ruth LevyExcellent. A little pricey at $10 a pastry but it was delicious. Read the descriptions and choose what you would normally eat flavor wise. They also have savory options and good coffee.
