The business is an excellent example of a family legacy that has successfully evolved to meet the demands of a modern, health-conscious, and diverse Los Angeles. Choosing Delicias is a decision to prioritize authenticity, community support, and inclusive options.
The biggest draw is, undoubtedly, the Vegan Mexican Pastries. As a pioneer in the space, they offer a taste of traditional Mexican culture to plant-based diners who might otherwise miss out on classics like conchas and puerquitos. For those seeking a substantial and satisfying start to their day, the generously-sized Burrito with house-made salsa comes highly recommended by customers, especially for its perfect blend of flavor and spice. Similarly, the Tortas, crafted on freshly baked bread, are a beloved classic and a must-try for a truly authentic Mexican sandwich experience.
In the beverage department, exploring the unique Mexican coffee creations is a key part of the experience. Ordering a traditional Cafe ($3.00) or one of the specialized drinks from the Barra De Espresso ($4.00), such as a Piloncillo Latte, provides a comforting, culturally rich complement to any baked good. Finally, the Fresca ($5.00) options are praised as a refreshing, made-with-seasonal-ingredients choice, with all of them being naturally vegan.
The bakery's longevity—operating as a Highland Park institution for over thirty years—speaks volumes about its quality and deep connection to the neighborhood. Whether you are a dedicated local supporting an authentic Latina-owned small business, a vegan traveler seeking trustworthy and delicious pan dulce, or simply someone craving a great cup of coffee and a perfectly crafted burrito, Delicias Bakery and Some offers a blend of tradition and delicious innovation that is well worth your time and patronage in Los Angeles.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1OK first time here in a long time was hot must be the oven.... OK so I wasn't greeted in a friendly manner but it seems to be a trend or maybe it was me cause the person was alot more friendly with other patrons even making small talk. disappointed no tamales on the menu. I chose the ultimate burrito decent size and super hot it was so delicious and they really packed on everything so worth the money and the salsa had a good amount of spice so it complimented well. Food was worth the wait
September 19 · Lola CruzThey have made some updates to the furniture and space layout is wayyy better than before. The americano was smooth and hot just right. Good music playing and the man behind the counter was extremely kind and helpful. If they wanted to make the environment even better, they could put sound board up and remove the metal chairs that are cold and uncomfortable and scrape loudly across the floor. It would be nice to have a tamale on the menu. And there was noisy music from the kitchen conflicting with the “house music” playing.Overall good experience.
September 25 · J FerrariFavorite was the chorizo breakfast burrito, was looking forward to the brewchata (cold brew+ horchata) but was way too sweet I couldn’t drink it..
June 24 · ABPosted my review on Yelp as well, but this is one of my FAVORITE bakeries/breakfast places in the LA area. Been here a couple of times now, and can safely say that their vegan breakfast burrito is one of the best burritos I've ever had. It is so flavorful and hot, with soyrizo, beans, potatoes, Just Egg, and so many delicious spices. They have a wide selection of Mexican pastries (many vegan friendly options) which are absolutely delectable and freshly made. The cold brew is also delicious and has notes of cinnamon and some other spices. The staff is lovely and the bakery has an incredible ambiance. On too of this, everything is so reasonably priced, with three pastries, a vegan breakfast burrito, and cold brew totaling to just under $20. Please patronize Delicias bakery if you are in the area!! I cannot hype it up enough!!
July 12 · Liliana EdmondsThis place is delicious, affordable and my favorite part - not filled with hipster/gentry and their overpriced lattes/wet sandwiches. The coffee and lattes are so good, great sweet and fancy options. But WOW the food is amazing! And everything vegan option?? I say 'move over' to the millions of white-owned hipster coffee shops of highland park and 'keep it up!' to Delicias! Everything made with so much genuine love and quality! Only downside is I would love to see them make the interior more comfortable. Not that I want it to become another of the coffee shops im speaking badly of but the overhead lighting and dark ceiling is a bit harsh. Cool furniture and space usage though! My only go to coffee, sweet breads and burrito spot in HP from now on!
