G Cafe Bakery provides a wide array of services designed to meet the needs of its diverse clientele, ensuring there is something for everyone.
Artisanal Baked Goods: The heart of G Cafe's offerings. They specialize in a variety of fresh, high-quality baked items. From classic croissants and muffins to more unique creations like their "pragels" (a delightful pretzel-bagel hybrid), their pastry case is always full of temptations. Their breads are particularly noteworthy, with options like French-style sourdough, multi-grain fitness bread, and classic Jewish rye, all baked fresh daily.
Coffee and Espresso Drinks: A full-service coffee bar offers everything from a simple cup of coffee to expertly crafted espresso drinks. You can enjoy a classic latte, a rich mocha, or a unique matcha latte, served hot or iced. While a recent review noted a tepid matcha, the overall consensus is that the coffee program is solid, providing the perfect accompaniment to their baked goods.
Breakfast and Lunch Sandwiches: Beyond pastries, G Cafe offers a robust menu of breakfast and lunch items. This includes popular choices like their egg and cheese sandwiches on house-made brioche buns, avocado toast, and delicious omelets. For lunch, you can find a variety of sandwiches and paninis, such as a Caprese on focaccia bread or a classic roast beef sandwich.
Catering and Pre-Orders: For larger events or special occasions, G Cafe Bakery offers catering services. You can pre-order larger quantities of their breads and pastries, making it a great option for gatherings, holiday meals, or simply stocking up on your favorites. Seasonal items like their Thanksgiving panettone are also available for pre-order.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Nestled in a postcard-perfect corner of Southport, chain coffeeshop G Café is the kind of place that's trying really hard to make your suburban dreams come true, and mostly succeeding! Picture this: a charming brick façade with enough white trim to make a colonial house jealous, complete with Pinterest-worthy pine arrangements that practically beg for an Instagram story. The staff? Let's just say the barista's personality was as warm as my matcha latte should have been (but sadly wasn't... more on that green disappointment in a moment). They're practically throwing free breakfast sandwich samples at you like it's Oprah's Favorite Things, and the cookies? It's a nice. Now, about that matcha latte... imagine if someone whispered the word "green" to some hot water and called it a day. It was giving "shy tea" energy when I was hoping for "main character" vibes. But here's the thing, between the flirty-yet-informative counter service and them delightful treats, I'm willing to chalk up the tepid tea situation as a one-time faux pas. Four stars out of five, and I'll be back, just maybe for a different beverage next time. After all, any place that's this generous with their breakfast sandwich samples deserves a second chance, right?
January 18 · Jeremy EdmundsI just stopped in for the first time this morning and I can report a very nice and pleasant guy behind the counter! The lemon poppyseed muffins are delicious!!! Great texture, not dry, lemony and delectable:). I’ll be back!
April 22 · SSMWe stopped in before off sailing and the order was placed/ready in record time. I ordered the SoNo breakfast sandwich on a croissant and it has to be one of the best BEAC sandwich I've ever had. Yes, it was a bit on the oily/buttery side but there was so much egg in there that it was incredibly filling.I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie and a lemon currant scone. The cookie was fresh and tasty. The lemon currant scone could have been a little more moist but enjoyed the less sweet and hint of flavors
July 22 · Steph WLove the staff, coffee, baguettes, and almost all of the pastry. For some reason, the blueberry scones and blueberry muffins have almost no blueberries in them. I hope they can fix this problem. There’s nothing like muffin loaded with blueberries In the morning.
October 26 · Joe GraceBeen here a few times and each time I observed a huge disconnect between the quality of their food and their onsite service. The cakes, pies and muffins, etc. are really good and working with them to place a pre-order is pleasant and easy but the Southport location's on-site service is always a put off. They are polite but I always feel like they are disinterested to serve their customer. I once arrived 45 minutes before closing to pick up a large pre-order which was already prepared and was sitting on the counter. They made me wait 10 minutes while one counter person was chatting with another customer and the other one was cleaning up. It was really awkward to watch them ignore me. After they finally noticed me, I wanted to purchase an additional item and asked a few questions which they seemed irritated to answer. I made my choice and asked them to cut it in half but they said the kitchen was already closed and they couldn't do it. Really? I haven't been back.
