Hainesville General Store Bakery Introduce
For residents across New Jersey, especially those in the scenic northern regions near the Delaware Water Gap, discovering local businesses that offer both quality products and a touch of community charm is always a treat. In Branchville, the Hainesville General Store Bakery stands out as a hidden gem, providing a delightful array of freshly baked goods and much more. While it may appear unassuming from the outside, stepping into this establishment reveals a surprisingly cute and charming interior, filled with tempting aromas and friendly faces.
The Hainesville General Store Bakery isn't just a place to grab a quick bite; it's an experience. It embodies the essence of a traditional general store, yet with a distinct focus on high-quality food, particularly its renowned baked items. From the moment you encounter their selection, it becomes clear that passion and freshness are at the heart of their offerings. Locals and visitors alike consistently praise the excellence of their sandwiches and, of course, their exceptional baked goods, which include everything from delectable pies and cakes to artisan breads that taste as good as they smell.
What truly sets the Hainesville General Store Bakery apart is not just the food, but the overall atmosphere and service. Despite a temporary relocation to a smaller building down the road, the core essence of their welcoming spirit remains. The staff are noted for being friendly, helpful, and more than happy to offer recommendations, making every visit a pleasant and personalized experience. This blend of delicious, fresh products and a warm, inviting environment solidifies the Hainesville General Store Bakery's position as a cherished local establishment, well worth seeking out for anyone in the New Jersey area looking for authentic flavors and a touch of local charm.
Hainesville General Store Bakery is located at 269 US-206, Branchville, NJ 07826, USA. This address places it along a primary route in Sussex County, making it a relatively accessible spot for residents within Branchville and the surrounding northern New Jersey communities. US-206 is a significant highway, ensuring that the location is generally easy to find for those traveling by car.
It's important for potential visitors to note a temporary change in location, as mentioned by recent customers. While the official address remains 269 US-206, the bakery has temporarily moved to a smaller building "down the road." This temporary relocation means that visitors looking for the original "quaint general store vibe" should be aware that the current setup might be more functional than charming, at least for the time being. However, its continued presence on US-206 suggests that accessibility remains relatively straightforward, allowing for easy pull-offs for a quick stop. Parking availability at the temporary location might be more limited compared to a larger, permanent setup, so visitors should keep this in mind. Despite the change, its proximity to the Delaware Water Gap makes it a convenient stop for travelers exploring the scenic region, as well as for daily patrons from nearby towns in Sussex County. Given its main road location, it would likely be reachable via personal vehicle, and for those in very close proximity, perhaps even walking or cycling. While specific public transit options directly to this stretch of US-206 might be limited, its car-friendly location ensures it remains a viable destination for most New Jersey locals.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I didn't get anything. They moved locations temporarily, are in a small building down the road... so if you're looking for a quaint general store vibe, I wouldn't go out of your way right now.Rated 3 stars because a slice of refrigerated pie is $7. And I was in the mood for an anachronistic food venue.

I was looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of food and the friendly service. I ordered a slice of peach pie, which was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! July 07 · L GoMy wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Hainesville General Store Bakery for Sandyston, our 160th town.We were confused when we first arrived. The original general store is mostly a bakery and souvenir shop with various prepackaged goods like candles, coffee beans, etc. Just a little bit down the road is the actual sandwich shop and kitchen where you can get hot breakfast sandwiches. There's no seating at the sandwich shop, but there is outdoor seating at the general store. We got our food in the sandwich shop and brought it back to eat at the tables on the porch of the general store. The shop is mostly for take-out customers.Once we had that sorted out, our food was excellent! We got the Sun's Up Wrap, the Breakfast Pepperoni Ciabatta, and Chicken Fingers. The original general store has a rustic & historic appearance and feels like a trip back in time.
November 05 · Peter LaudatiThis place is always great. We're locals, and they have such a great selection. I usually go there for baked goods or bagels. They also have all these different candies that I like to buy around Christmas time for stocking stuffers. I actually explored and looked around the entire store today. They've got a lot of stuff for a small space. It's a really great tourist place to get souvenirs. They sell mugs, magnets, stickers, special maple syrups, specialty teas, and a bunch more. So definitely stop by. It's a really cute store!
December 20 · Rebecca NewberryMy mother and I just got home and we’re blown away by the summer berry pie and the assortment of amazing cookies. The pie to start off was the best desert EVER !! cookies were packed with Reese’s peanut butter cups s’mores Red Velvet, snickerdoodles, chocolate chip mint. And a bunch more. I would highly recommend going there and meeting the wonderful couple that owns the place. Get some amazing food and a good laugh with some nice people.
