First and foremost, the integrity of the mission is what makes it truly special. Secondly, the quality of the food holds its own against any competitor in the competitive San Francisco food scene. Patrons consistently praise the freshness, with comments highlighting the "freshly made and delicious" nature of the pastries and sandwiches. The use of local producers and Bay Area artisan food suppliers not only ensures a high-quality product but also supports the local economy and strengthens the community network. As an enterprise that identifies as women-owned, veteran-owned, and LGBTQ+ owned, it embodies the spirit of inclusion that many California residents prioritize. Its dedication to sustainability through composting and waste reduction further enhances its appeal as a responsible local business. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We unexpectedly visited this place for brunch today. Oh my, WAS IT GREAT!!!!First of all, all the pastries and sandwiches we got were freshly made and delicious - way above what we expected.I was also impressed that this is the first cafe/restaurant in SF that didn’t even have landfill trash - you only see compost, recycle, or wash/reuse bin.Later today, I visited their website and found this statement - “a non profit social enterprise providing employment and training for people with disabilities, who are homeless or at risk.” So they’re sustainable and also humanitarian. I think we need more places like this, especially in SF.My fiance and I entered here without much thoughts and expectations, and we decided to visit here again (although we don’t live nearby).
June 24 · Nanase NiikuraPretty rundown place. But staff very pleasant. Cappuccino was overly hot and the beans were not great.
July 18 · Alan HellawellLove their ginger currant scones!!
September 08 · AV COne of the most delicious, vegan sandwiches in San Francisco is served here. Roasted veggies on sliced multi grain bread w/ optional pickled jalapenos. Don't miss this 😋The cookies and other baked items are super yummy too!
July 30 · Jabal EngelhardWe love this bakery! Ate there every morning we were in town because the cornbread biscuit breakfast sandwiches and ginger-currant scones were so delicious! (We couldn’t get off them long enough to try anything else!) My mouth is watering just writing this.
