Highland Bakery Introduce
For many residents of Atlanta, Georgia, the name Highland Bakery is synonymous with innovative, delicious breakfast and brunch, and a commitment to fresh, quality baked goods. While the brand is celebrated across the city, the location situated within Emory University’s Goizueta Business School offers a unique, specialized experience tailored for a dynamic campus environment. This is not just a grab-and-go spot; it’s a full-service bakery and eatery providing a comforting menu of hearty entrees, fresh salads, and, of course, a delightful selection of baked goods right where the local student and professional community needs it most.
The Highland Bakery at Emory represents a vital hub of campus life. It is designed to fuel the long days of local business school students, faculty, and staff, offering everything from a quick morning coffee to a satisfying midday meal. The menu thoughtfully balances signature Highland Bakery favorites, known for their generous portions, with a "campus menu" approach that aims for slightly lower prices and lighter portions to accommodate the needs and schedules of the entire student body and university personnel. This makes it a highly convenient and appealing destination within the larger Atlanta food scene, combining the quality of a beloved local brand with the accessibility required for a busy academic schedule.
As a proud fixture in the Emory community, this bakery is committed to serving fresh, Southern-inspired cuisine with creative twists. It is a place where locals can start their day with one of their famous Benedicts or a signature sweet treat before diving into their studies or work. The establishment is a true bakery at its core, but it expands its identity to that of a full-scale breakfast and lunch restaurant, ensuring that patrons never have to compromise on variety or quality. Whether you are seeking a decadent Cinnamon Roll to celebrate a small victory or a wholesome Arugula Salad for a healthy lunch, the Highland Bakery at Emory is a trusted local resource.
The Highland Bakery location is specifically nestled inside one of Atlanta’s premier academic institutions: Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. Its exact address is 1300 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA 30322, USA. This unique location is both a strength and a distinct feature of the business, as it places the bakery at the heart of the university’s academic pulse.
It is important for local Georgia users to note the context of this location. Since the bakery is situated within a college campus building, accessibility and parking are primarily geared towards the university community. According to local feedback, traditional public parking for non-affiliates is not readily available, which means general public access can be more challenging. While the environment is welcoming, visitors who are not students or faculty should be prepared for the specific constraints of an on-campus venue, often needing to navigate the university's parking system. However, for those already on the Emory campus, it offers unparalleled convenience and easy pedestrian access. The acceptance of common payment methods such as Debit cards and NFC mobile payments streamlines the transaction process for everyone, particularly during peak class change times.
Highland Bakery provides a rich menu of services centered around its core bakery and full-menu dining concept. The focus is on providing high-quality, freshly prepared food and excellent customer service to the busy campus population.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First of all, you're not really going to be able to access this restaurant unless your a student. There is no parking lot. The restaurant still exists because they are the most convenient option for b-school students to get coffee and lunch. The service seems to lose efficiency when the lines get long, which is basically between every class period. I've never been to another location of this chain, but I don't think the food is especially good. Lots of heavy, greasy items on the menu and salads leave much to be desired. Everything has a high variability of time to prepare, can take 5-30 minutes.Suggestions:Work on overall efficiency of coffee orders during the day, maybe this could be done by making one line coffee only and the other food only.Add some grab and go sandwiches, I bet this would alleviate some of the food orders and also attract people who previously didn't have the time to wait.
August 20 · Dylan VestNot only is the food delish the service was incredible. We met the manager who was working the register the day we went in and she was the most pleasant, friendly person. We were having an especially tough day and she had such a genuine personality and made us laugh and lighten our day. The pancakes were incredible and I wish I would have ordered the larger serving.
August 20 · S SparksI placed a to-go order for shrimp and grits which ran about $10-$11. Hoping for the same experience I had at the other location in The Highlands which was very pleasing. I receive my order and made it to my destination to enjoy my food, I open my plate to find only THREE (3) SMALL SHRIMP in a puddle of grits. Thinking to myself this must be a mistake so I call the restaurant to make sure I wasn't shortened shrimp by mistake only to find to that it only comes with 3 shrimp. I have never felt so cheated afterwards. I wish there was something in the menu to inform customers of that because I sure wouldn't have chosen that.
August 20 · C MartinI love their syrup and french toast. Their french toast is on really thick Texas toast. Its pretty expensive. Once I was in a rush and forgot to check my order and had to get back to work. When I got to work it wasn't the same bread. I called and they made me a fresh batch for me to pick up.
August 20 · Brittney BlaxstoneNot reflective of any of the other Highlands I've been to in the city. Always extremely long wait on food (45 minutes the other during lunch at 1PM), and subpar food. I got french toast. Needed it to-go, since it took practically an hour to receive. Didn't even give me syrup, so when I went back to work, I couldn't even eat it. The only plus side was the lovely cashier lady who offered me a pastry, but come ON, $10 completely lost because of lack of timeliness and effort.
