★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1For years I bought Jalapeno Bread every couple weeks. It was $6 then $8. I hadn't been there for a while and today it was $12 for a 7 1/2" loaf and very small green spots that apparently are Jalapeno's (no taste at all) I own a business myself and know very well that prices must go up but this is ridiculous! I drive by every day and the parking lot is empty more times than not. HIgher prices and lower quality doesn't put money in the register!Service was good, I guess because no one was there!
August 06 · Alice MasemerI have been coming here for the past 28 years. Back in the day it was called “Mr. Bread.” It was my go to bakery, and I went here regularly. A few years ago I wrote a review that was not good. The pastry case had dwindled down to practically nothing, and their counter service was rude and inefficient. In fact, it had gone downhill to the point where I thought they would soon put a lock on the door. I didn’t go back for at least 2 years. It is very evident that the ownership and/or management changed sometime in the past couple of years. It was nice to see the pastry case full of delectable treats, well organized, and prices on everything. The bear claw is one of my favorites - chocolate and cheese filled, and the best I’ve ever had anywhere! It is actually enough for two people. I’ve also had their apple strudel and sticky buns. Both are excellent, and their quiche is as well. If you like good quality pastries, you will want to give this place a try. Good bakeries are rare. That being said, their new prices are shocking! Although I now love this bakery again, the prices will keep me from coming here regularly. I may drop in once every few months, as opposed to every week. If the prices were not so insane, I would have given 5 stars.
July 12 · KWOwner please read. The type of service that will make you forget a business instantly. We visited this bakery today to purchase fresh bread and were the only customers inside, yet we were ignored until we initiated conversation. When we asked for the country sourdough, the staff member asked if we wanted it sliced. We said yes, and she replied, “thin or thick.” When we asked how thin the slices would be, she repeated “thin or thick” in a dismissive tone. We purchased the bread, but the unnecessarily rude service ensured we won’t be returning.
August 10 · AmandaI ordered a big GF cake for 50 people, and I was a little nervous as to how good it would be not having eaten at this Bakery before. When I picked it up I was so impressed with how beautiful it looked. Then when everyone had a piece of the cake, no one could believe it was GF! It was so moist and delicious and the texture was no different than regular cake. We were all so happy to have found a Bakery that knows well how to use all the gf ingredients! More than pleased!
January 11 · Ana MTo the ownerWe always support local businesses. The young lady never offered to cancel the order. She even said we are not the first ones to complain about the price. We have had breakfast there before and it is always delicious but never cost that much. You need to check you website because one place states sandwiches are 4.29 and another states 8.99. You also need to post prices in your store so people aren't sticker shocked after placing their order.Went there this morning for 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwich on croissants with 2 coffees. They charged us $28. 20. They don't list prices anywhere and on there website scrambled egg cheese and bacon are listed for 4.29. The sandwich was good but not worth $28. The lady said they increased their price because eggs are expensive. Supply and demand she said. Won't go back again at that price.
