Katie's Pies Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For Oklahomans residing in the eastern Oklahoma City metro area, particularly in Choctaw and Midwest City, Katie's Pies, often known as Katie's Pies and More, is a cherished local bakery offering much more than its namesake suggests. This establishment, proudly identifying as a small, women-owned business, serves as a hub for scratch-made baked goods, from their signature pies to an array of cookies, cinnamon rolls, cakes, and specialty pastries. It embodies the spirit of local entrepreneurship, focusing on traditional, comforting flavors that remind Oklahomans of true homemade quality.
Tucked into a local shopping center on NE 23rd Street, Katie's Pies offers a full-service experience that caters to both a quick morning visit and special order pickups. The business model is built on providing variety and convenience. While pies are a main attraction—and typically made to order to ensure maximum freshness—the bakery’s menu expands to include daily items perfect for a quick visit, such as savory breakfast melts, various rolls, and unique offerings like "Frosted Fatties" and "Sausage Rotel Balls." This diverse menu ensures that local residents can rely on Katie’s for everything from a grab-and-go breakfast item to a professionally baked dessert centerpiece.
As a small business, Katie's Pies strives to maintain a personal connection with its customers. The bakery aims to be a welcoming spot in the Choctaw community, offering a comfortable environment with dine-in options and accessible features. While, like any busy custom operation, organizational hiccups and customer service challenges can occasionally occur—as noted in some feedback—the high quality of the core products, such as the flavor of their cookies and the moist centers of their cinnamon rolls, keeps loyal Oklahomans coming back. The bakery stands as a testament to the dedication of local women business owners who are pouring their passion into baking for their community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I received a $25 gift certificate through Midwest City's recycling program. I had never heard of this place before then. It's tucked into a shopping center and if you're not looking hard you'll miss it. There is no big building sign, just signs in the windows and a flag type sign by the road. It was windy and wet so I couldn't read the flag sign at first.I didn't try the pies this time around. The owner greeted me and was the one to help me. When asked she said all the pies are made to order. Which is fine, but I didn't think to ask how long it took to make one or how much they cost.I did however purchase several of her cookies, cinnamon rolls, a morning muffin, and something called a ro-tel ball I believe. The flavor of the cookies and cinnamon rolls were great. The cinnamon rolls were a little dry on the outer edges. But the centers were delicious and still moist. If I can catch them fresh out of the oven I'll definitely buy more of them.I gave the muffin to a friend who said it was good. Overall I was pleased with my shopping experience and will have to come back and order a pie!I just wish the owners of the building would give her a big sign to put on the building itself to bring more attention to her shop.
May 03 · JeremyDO NOT GO HERE.We ordered a small cake from here for a birthday. We arranged to pick it up on Friday after 12:00. When we got there at 2:30 they were confused. After looking through their papers they had the pick-up day as Saturday. They said they were currently working on Friday’s’ orders and would have it done at 3:30. We drove 15 minutes back home and had to go back an hour later. When we returned at 4:00 the baker wasn’t there. The 2 ladies that were got our cake for us. When we looked at it we found the birthday message that was supposed to be on top was not there. At that moment the baker walked in the back door and was told by the young lady what was happening. With no words or acknowledgment to me or the mistake she took the cake behind the counter. After a minute or so she asked to verify the spelling of the message on top. Once she finished she walked out from behind the counter with the cake. She opened the top and showed me the message. I verified it was correct and said thank you. She just gave me a look, still didn’t say a word and walked behind the counter. The customer service here is atrocious especially after the mistakes that they made.As for the cake itself. The edges were hard and felt a little burnt.I do not recommend this place and will never be returning.
June 29 · Allan BratschKatie’s is the best bakery in town. She is an amazing baker. I do have to admit, last Saturday, I was witness to a bit of an unpleasant issue between two customers that was handled with elegance and grace. One greedy customer came in and bought up everything and 2 other ladies were there to get some goodies. The “glutton” made things so uncomfortable for not only the Katie and her mother but for everyone else. Please, don’t allow her back into your bakery. She doesn’t deserve to buy your product.
July 22 · chase von pThe dessert Sammy and strawberry pop tart were calling my name and I have eaten them up!!!!! So good and such cool options!!!
April 25 · Kat McWaterKatie's is one of Eastern Oklahoma County's hidden gems. Tucked off 23rd street, she features breakfast items, cookies and other sweet concoctions, and even snowconrs in the summer, which are all fantastic. My personal favorites are the chocolate chip cookies (with chocolate dipped backs and chocolate drizzled lines over them) and the no-bake chocolate peanut butter cookies (with peanut butter drizzle on top). My husband loves the peach ring snowcones.I really haven't had much of anything i didn't like there. I even got my birthday (turtle cheese)cake from her this last year and it was totally yum!!!I highly recommend Katie and her great crew for your next sweet fix when you're in the area, or even if you're not. It's worth the drive from anywhere in the metro OKC area!!! Msybe even further!!Please stop by this woman owned and operated jewel. If you can, follow her Facebook page to keep updated on sll her daily goodies. Your tummy will definitely thank you and keep you coming back for more.Tell her Kat sent ya. You won't get a discount or anything, but you'll remind her that some of her frequent customers are supporting her here on Google.Have a tasty day!!!PS: forgot to mention her Dubai strawberry cups and more. Totally amazing and oh do boujee!! Don't forget to try them!!
