Serving the community from its spot on South Pulaski Road, this bakery has become a key destination for anyone in the Chicagoland area seeking authentic Mexican sweet bread, exquisite custom cakes, and classic desserts. La Fiesta Bakery is not just a place to pick up a treat; it’s a slice of culture, offering the vibrant flavors and traditional baking techniques that make Mexican pastries so beloved. For Illinois residents, finding a reliable, high-quality bakery that offers both everyday delights and spectacular centerpieces for celebrations is essential, and La Fiesta Bakery strives to be that go-to spot.
The core of La Fiesta Bakery’s appeal lies in its impressive range of baked goods, from the airy, milky texture of their signature Tres Leches Cake to a vast selection of Pan Dulce—the colorful, sweet breads that are a staple in Mexican households. Whether you’re fueling your morning with a freshly baked Concha, planning a special birthday with a decadent Mocha Cake, or seeking a traditional Rosca de Reyes during the holiday season, this local Chicago bakery provides variety and authenticity. Every item is prepared with care, focusing on traditional recipes and generous portions, making it the perfect quick stop for a treat or the primary caterer for your next party.
It is important to note that, as with any bustling community establishment, customer experiences can vary. While La Fiesta Bakery offers a great array of products, prospective customers should be aware that custom orders, especially those involving intricate decoration or specific timing for major events like a baby shower or wedding, might require clear communication and advance planning. Some customers have reported concerns with the final presentation or freshness of certain items, which highlights the need for direct communication when placing bespoke or large orders. However, the sheer volume and affordability of their daily selection of Pan Dulce and dessert slices make it an extremely popular choice for everyday consumption among local Chicagoans.
La Fiesta Bakery is a testament to the diverse and rich food scene in Illinois. It is a place that invites a quick visit, offering coffee alongside its expansive menu of freshly prepared cakes and breads. For locals, it represents a convenient, accessible option for adding a touch of sweetness and authentic flavor to their day.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1They ruined my sister’s baby shower cake. When they first brought out the cake the images on the cake were way too light you couldn’t see them, the the lady writes on the cake with this dark Blue icing that doesn’t go with the cake at all. So they offered to switch the images on the cake. So when they brought it back a second time there were dark blue spots on the top. At that point I told them not to mess with the cake any further so they end up putting the cake into a thin box and then taping other box on top. We didn’t even get down the street because the box she taped on top fell and wiped half the icing off of the cake. At this point my sister is in tears. So we called and they basically were like we don’t give out refunds. The cake wasn’t even worth the money she spent on it. So we go back a second time and the lady who’s there basically said she couldn’t fix the cake that well because she didn’t decorate the cakes. She basically smoothed it out and rewrote the name. Bottom line is don’t go to them unless you want your cake messed up. Also the cake was dry and falling apart. DEFINITELY WOULDN’T RECOMMEND
April 14 · Candace MorenoGot some cookies… not even edible! They were so stale and tasted like they went bad. Do not recommend at all!
July 11 · Rafaella BTres leches cake was dry and the fruit cake tasted like the strawberry’s had gone bad. The bread in the cake was stale. I diffently do not recommend it’s a waste of money, no one wanted cake when they tasted it. It mostly went to the garbage.6/8/2021 Update 3yrs later and it’s still garbage. Dry and disgusting. I do not recommend
June 08 · D LWent by today for the first time, needed a last min cake. The cake was disgusting tastes like it’s been sitting there for a long time. The fruit on the cake also looks old.Update: I called because this cake is so disgusting and they advised they cannot do anything about it other than a credit for the next time which there will never be a next time & they said other than that they cannot do a refund or partial refund because they don’t believe it & swear they just made it last night. This cannot be true as u can tell a fresh cake from an old one it doesn’t take a genius to know that. She said we have to bring the cake and I offered to bring the trash bag with the entire cake. Ridiculous
May 02 · Sonia DavilaFlies in about every cabinet. They have bread and sweets out in the open with flies on them. I bought two cookies because I didn't see flies on them but by the time I was by my car I decided not to eat them. 🤢🤮
