★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Ive been ordering cakes here for 13 years,I remember when they use to do the best cakes and some things in their bakery are good, but lately every time i spend money with them and trust them with my cake a get all whip cream cake with bearly cake, lately all my cakes all pure whipcream and not cake, when my guests taste they get dissapointed and so do I,it makes me even more upset that as soon as I noticed they where doing this so several times in a row with my cakes, ive tell them every time I order and they still manage to give me a whipcream cake not a cake no matter what type of cake I get which is weird ,sometimes I even think is purposely but I am not aware of the reasons,I just thought that they are probably on low budget and the cake mix is more expensive so they decice to trick me with the price and whipcream cake 🤢,I decided to do this review until now to try to give them a chance, but this was my daughters bday her one and only 13th,for this to happen at her party once again, everyone left the cake on the tables and had those faces of dissapointment I had to apologize for the excess of whipcream and for all of us not being able to feel the cake as we tasted,Another thing is I always order way ahead. There are no excuses to get a real cake.Sorry but I had to say how I feel.
February 16 · yajaira camposTerrible! Horrendous service and poor quality food. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.I had called early on and placed an order for a tres leche cake with whip cream, strawberries & peaches, thin layer of dulce de leche with almonds on the side along with it saying happy birthday mom on the cake. The lady had repeated my order exactly as what I said and told me it would cost around $50 or so because of the additions, no problem. I live in Long Island and told the lady taking my order that I would like to pick it up early because I live 2 hours away which she was accommodating and said okay to 9AM.On February 11, when I went to pick up the cake it did not have the writing on top and the nuts were very scarce. I had asked the young lady to please put more nuts since there was barely any. Once I paid I just received back the receipt and said if I can have a bag. She stated they charge $1.50 for the bag and I said okay I will pay but then told me there is a $7 min since I was paying with a card. So, I just carried the box. Finally, when it came to opening the cake for everyone and cutting a slice I realized this was the completely wrong order. I had given my mom the first slice hoping it would still be good just different but she couldn’t finish it. Just like that the whole cake was thrown out. I was so upset and embarrassed that I had brought this cake for my Mother’s birthday. It was such a terrible feeling of disappointment. The mousse was so thick and the whipped cream was overwhelmingly thick. The next day (Feb 12) I had called early in the morning and told the bakery my situation that I got the wrong order and could even send them photos. I spoke with a lady named Miriam who really made my experience even more unpleasant. What had happen was that the young lady from the day I picked up the cake did not give me a yellow copy of the order I only got the payment receipt. On that order someone had crossed out the strawberry and peaches and wrote caramel mousse. I told Miriam this is incorrect I never stated that. To make it more unpleasant this lady was inconsiderate and rude towards the end. Because I didn’t get that order receipt I couldn’t fight my case. Stating that they can give me a $5 store credit. But can’t reimburse me. I stated I would like to talk to the boss and she said she would leave a message and the boss would get back to me but because the boss doesn’t come everyday just here and there that she can’t give me a definite period as to when the boss will contact me. So, I waited the whole day on February 13 and got no call. I called again on February 14 and finally spoke to a lady who was much more pleasant and helpful. I told her I was expecting a call and just wanted to see if the boss was available. The lady said she will see if there was any message left and as to my surprise the lady informs me that no message was left. Miriam had told me she left a message for their boss. I do not appreciate being lied to which made me even more upset. However, the lady was much more understanding of my situation and gave me a number to reach out to so I can send photos of what I received. Which, is what I wanted to do early on but Miriam was not at all helpful. I sent the pictures to the number and Miriam calls me back which I really wasn’t too happy about. Stating she spoke with the boss and can only give me $22 store credit for their bakery, when I physically go they can service it. Which I had repeatedly said I live in Long Island. Tolls are not cheap.I have never experienced this before and never wrote such a detailed review like this for a bakery. What upsets me is how inconsiderate and unprofessional this bakery has been. I would stick to much better places& with better customer services such as Martha’s country bakery. But I wanted to support this bakery because it’s wasn’t just me but my whole family that has been coming here for 10+ years. However, most definitely we agreed to never go back to this bakery. Horrendous experience!! Please don’t waste your time and money.
February 14 · Kari OutNice shop near Getty Square. They have a solid array of pastries, but they are a little pricey. My wife at the crème brûlée and I had the Strawberry cheesecake. Mine was better. The staff can be a bit more welcoming but they weren’t nasty at all. I’ll go back again
April 07 · miguel manciaThis place is so clean. If you want the prettiest decorated cakes and cupcakes. Everything was so beautiful and bright . I recommend the pan Mexicano.
November 24 · P L.Thank you so much for the details and for following and creating my vision into reality to this beautiful cake. Since the moment I called, they answered every question and are informative on price point, filling, and cake flavor on such short notice. I see this cake is famous for the aesthetic. I am very happy and pleased with my order. Thank you, la piñata bakery, for making my mom smile at her event. Have a good one. 💜
