Mayra's Bakery Introduce
Introduction / Overview
Mayra's Bakery stands as a beloved, long-running Bakery in the heart of Los Angeles, specializing in bringing the vibrant, comforting flavors of Mexican cuisine to the local community. This is more than just a sweet shop; it is a full-service cultural food destination, renowned for its wide variety of delightful baked goods, authentic pan dulce, and its capability to serve a full Breakfast and lunch menu that includes savory items like tamales and caldos.
Located on San Pedro Street, Mayra's Bakery is known for consistently offering traditional Mexican bakery delights, with a strong focus on cakes for special occasions that receive high praise for both flavor and affordability. The overall ambiance is often described as inviting, creating a welcoming environment that enhances the shopping experience for a quick visit or a planned Takeout order.
However, potential patrons in California should approach the experience with balanced expectations. While one customer raves about the "Best bread ever" and "great customer service," other reviews cite "rude and very very disappointing" interactions with the staff or manager regarding order mistakes or product freshness. This suggests that while the quality and variety of the food are generally highly rated, the customer service experience can be inconsistent. Nonetheless, the bakery remains a prominent local institution for those seeking authentic Mexican flavors and specialty items.

September 25 · Alexa RicoThe lady in charge doesn't know how to treat their regular customers right. If the food you pay for is too salty or they made a mistake on your order. The manager and the employees would blame them on you. They would refuse to do service and will kick you out. The food is good but the service is rude and very very disappointing. They will talk bad about you and will show their rudeness so everyone will see you're the blame and not them.
August 17 · Cynthia SanceThe food here is so good , I really do recommend this place , they don’t have that much of a variety of food, but the food that the y do have it’s just good they also have hand made tortillas
April 17 · Edith GutierrezOwner is a very sweet man who feeds the homeless people that sleep outside his door. Food is delicious, homemade. It’s so homemade that you need to ask what is on the menu for that day.
April 30 · Guinevere Negrete-PerezFreshly made bolillos on the daily. I always come here for a breakfast sandwich nothing like beans, queso fresco and a over easy egg on a bolillo
