Mochinut Seffner Introduce
For Florida locals searching for a sweet treat that is anything but ordinary, Mochinut Seffner presents a distinctive and exciting culinary experience. Located right here in Seffner, this business is much more than your average Donut shop; it’s a cultural fusion hotspot specializing in three wildly popular, trendy food categories: the unique Mochi Donut, the savory Korean Rice Hotdog, and refreshing Boba Drinks. This combination makes Mochinut a must-visit destination for anyone in the greater Tampa Bay area looking for a fun, casual, and memorable quick bite.
The star of the show is, of course, the Mochinut itself. Originating from a happy union between Japanese rice cake (mochi) and American-style doughnuts, the Mochinut is famous for its signature “pon de ring” shape—a ring of connected balls that are easy to pull apart and share. This confection’s hallmark is its texture: a delightful blend of a light, crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, thanks to the glutinous rice flour used in the dough. Flavors are seasonal and rotating, with fan-favorite glazes and toppings often including unique options like the "Dubai chocolate" or Ube. You can grab them in quantities perfect for sharing, from 1 Piece ($4.03) up to a Dozen ($33.00).
Beyond the sweet, Mochinut Seffner offers an incredible array of savory items that are gaining equal popularity among Florida foodies. Their Rice Hotdogs are a fantastic twist on the classic corn dog, coated in a unique rice flour batter that can be customized with various toppings. Choices include the fully cheesy Original Mozzarella ($7.99), the crunchy Potato Half & Half ($8.95), and the highly adventurous Hot Cheetos Mozzarella ($8.95) or Crispy Ramen Half & Half ($8.75). These hotdogs, often praised for being freshly made and crunchy, offer the perfect salty counterpoint to the sweetness of the donuts.
Completing the trifecta are the fantastic Boba Drinks. Patrons can sip on classics like Milk Tea ($8.75) and Coffee Latte ($8.75), or try specialty flavors such as the rich Ube ($8.75) or creamy Strawberry Milk ($8.75). With its diverse menu that caters to both sweet cravings and savory appetites, Mochinut Seffner solidifies its place as an essential stop for any Florida resident seeking a delicious and Instagram-worthy culinary experience.

The concept of a savory item wrapped in a crispy rice-flour coating is unique in the local Florida fast-casual scene.
Finally, the convenience and friendly service make the experience complete. Customers have highlighted that the employees are kind and helpful, and the prompt service ensures that even if you come in 30 minutes before closing, you’ll be treated well and still have a "full selection" of treats. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Came in 30 minutes before closing and everything was phenomenal. The employees were kind and helpful. The food was made fresh and promptly, and they still had a full selection of donuts and donut holes. The original corn dog is incredible. Can’t wait to be back to try the sweet potato one! (Already ate a couple bites of the corn dog in the picture, got too excited).
March 18 · Adam CohenI don’t know what I was expecting but I definitely thought it was going to taste better than it was. On social media the type of corn dogs they sell looked cheeseier and crunchier. I love hot Cheetos so of course I got the hot Cheetos dog. It was greasy and soggy, but the original corn dog and Fritos corn dog were crunchy and my kids liked them. The donuts were so good especially the Dubai chocolate one. They were on the pricy side but I would buy them again. My husband got a boba strawberry milk tea that was too sweet and artificial tasting. Over all I would go again for donuts and to try the ramen bar!!
June 01 · Alyssa MartinezIt's the newest location of Mochinut. What's not to like? This one is off of MLK Jr. Blvd. and Broadway. It's hidden by the Post Office when coming from Lakewood onto Broadway. The service here is so much better than the one in Temple Terrace. The young man at the counter was very helpful. There were a few items that I'd never seen before. The self-serve ramen bar, mochi balls, and Dubai chocolate bars were all new to me. I also don't remember seeing the sweet potato corn dogs. I just had to try it.The corn dog was fried perfectly. It was so crispy on the outside. I was even asked if I wanted sugar sprinkled on top of it. Yes, please!! The taste of the sweet potato with the cheese reminded me a little of the cereal topped ones. It made a good savory & sweet bite. One corn dog was enough for me. It's huge! The half cheese & half hot dog is my favorite. The Dubai chocolate bar was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. It's a smaller and less expensive version of it. I really like the pistachio & kataifi filling. I've never had the original one, so I have nothing to compare it to. This one seemed crunchier. The mochi donuts are what you would expect. I've only been able to try one so far. The passion fruit one is a winner. The coffee latte was pretty average. I did ask to adjust it to 50% sweet. He was able to do that for me. That's great because I remembered that the Mochinut boba drinks I had in the past were super sweet. This one was better, but not as good as shops specializing in boba. If that makes sense.I'll need a few more visits so that I can try other items. It's great to have a Mochinut so close to Brandon. Give it a try.
April 16 · Karen VI am Excited to see Mochinut was finally open. Today I tried the cookies and cream, caramel churro and the choco churro. These donuts are firm on the outside and soft and chewy on the outside. The assortment of Flavours is nice they have something for everyone. The staff were polite and helpful the be atmosphere was cool I liked the ramen wall and the ramen cooking station👍🏽. I will definitely come back to try something new next time.
March 24 · Charles HodgesWas excited to see a new place pop up to try. Definitely worth trying out if you like to try new things. The donuts were delicious, and their Chia Milk Tea was also phenomenal with the Boba. Will be easily a frequent flyer here.
