Pala offers a warm, "old-world market vibe," as described by happy customers, providing a welcoming and cozy atmosphere that feels both authentic and unpretentious. The focus here is clearly on quality ingredients and tradition. Reviews consistently highlight the incredible freshness and depth of flavor in everything from the sandwiches, such as the widely praised mortadella panini, to the desserts and, of course, the vibrant, house-made gelato. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I grew up in the city but now live about an hour south, and whenever I bring my kids to Atlanta to enjoy some of the things I loved growing up, we always end the day with a great meal. We usually try a new spot every time—but not this time. Pala is the first place we’ve ever gone back to back… it’s just that good. The mortadella panini was hands-down the best sandwich I’ve ever had. We also tried the Firenze panini, the spicy vodka pizza, and the calabrese pizza—everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. We finished it off with gelato, and it was the perfect ending. The restaurant has this old-world market vibe—nothing fancy, just authentic, cozy, and absolutely delicious. A true hidden gem we’re already looking forward to visiting again.
June 08 · Imhoff DesignsSuch a gem! The staff here are some of the kindest people 🥹 so warm and welcoming. The sandwiches were incredible (and huge !!! definitely come hungry!), and the gelato was the perfect sweet treat to finish off the meal. Can’t wait to come back! 💕🍨🥪
September 15 · Alyson VLoved this Italian sandwich spot!! So cute. Freshly made sandwiches..I split the prosciutto and sopressata. Both were so yummy! Just fresh, simple ingredients into well prepared and balanced sandwiches. I would go back to try the pizza too. There is also a gelato section but I tried the mini donuts instead. They have joey, custard and hazelnut. I thought the hazelnut was the best.
September 02 · L SWe only came for dessert. We arrived in the middle of lunch rush hour on a Sunday. This was our first time here and I had not anticipated seating was so limited. We were able to stake out two seats as several people were taking their orders to go.Service was focused on taking food orders. There was no clear sign that Gelato customers were tp form a separate line and someone would assist with that line. So I stood in the food line before finding out I was in the wrong line.I was happy with my order. I got one scoop of Coconut Gelato and topped it with one scoop of Lemon Sobet. My friend ordered three scoops - Mango and Lemon Sorbets and Strawberry Gelato. She didn't like the Mango Sorbet and wished she ordered the Strawberry as a Sorbet.Tables were not being bussed while we were there. Basically service was limited to taking and filling orders. The food smelled delicious and we would consider returning for food except seating can't be anticipated. They also had Tiramisu, something that looked more like a Flan than a Panna Cotta and a few baked items.
August 31 · Mia CaringalI decided to try this bakery from a video review I saw on IG. When I saw Pala had the legit Italian paninis with mortadella I was so excited. I had one in Florence when I went and loved it, haven’t been able to find anything similar here so when I saw these sandwiches I drove from Alpharetta to try it.The sandwich I got was delicious with mortadella, ricotta, and a rich, tasty pesto. It did taste authentic and reminded me of the ones I had in Italy! You could tell the ingredients are fresh as well. They take your order at the register, give you a number and then you pick it up at the counter when they call your number. There was a line when I came in but it moved quickly. Sandwich took about 5-7 minutes to come out, but was worth it. I would visit again and probably try a different one just to get a taste of the other sandwiches because they all sounded so good. The only thing I wish was different was that there was more seating/space available. I think with the popularity this place is getting it’s been getting very crowded, so it’s hard to find seating. Other than that everything was good. You guys should open a location in Alpharetta!
