★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Owner or whoever the old guy is needs a lesson in manners. He’s rude to everyone including mothers with children. There’s PLENTY of nicer cafes in the area. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Food is ok at best.EDIT: Here’s a thought: I only review places if I truly believe people should know to avoid them. He may not work there, he may own it, but he’s definitely there. :)
May 24 · JACGreat customer service along with the food! Nice and friendly!
March 24 · LizThis is a small and very quaint place. People are very friendly and you won't feel out of place at all. Great tasting pastries, deli sandwiches, pies and coffee made nicely! You can't go wrong in this cafe. It could be crowded in the morning... That alone speaks volumes about the food 😊
September 03 · MC CThis cafe has been around for at least 20 years. It is in the heart of the the Ironbound Portuguese community of Newark, NJ. I like to get the classic Taylor, egg & cheese morning sandwich. They have good coffee, lunch specials and a dinner style menu.
January 26 · GeraluzDelicious and affordable cash only cafe in Lafayette, close to Seabras supermarket and Ferry street. $11 breakfast for two people. Two salami and cheese sandwiches toasted $3 each, galão (Portuguese coffee with espresso), empanada, and a pão de queijo. Can’t beat these prices anywhere in Newark!!
