★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Highlight of this bakery is their variety of pastries, but they also sell savory meals. The pastries are incredibly tasty, affordable and huge. Prices vary from $1.50 to $3.50.Highly recommend their pastrami or chicken sandwich, the bread is incredibly soft with the perfect amount of crunch - not dense but not a flaky mess. I really liked the dressing on the pastrami, it had the perfect amount of vinegar and mustard.Everything just tasted fresh and bright and the staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. The space looks like a converted unit, features a few small tables for dine in but no outdoor seating.
July 16 · Michael WaldegermaThe service here is unmatched! When we arrived, the kind guy behind the counter walked us through the process of picking out pastries from their glowing case. He explained each option in detail, and we felt very taken care of. We chose a selection of treats, and it was $16 for a pretty large selection. Everything was fresh and tasty!
June 10 · Shannon MahedyMy mom and I often joke about how “Pan es pan” translating to “bread is bread” since we’ve had pan dulce from bakeries all over the twin cities and think they either taste too much like egg, vanilla and/or egg. This panadería was truly the exception! As soon as we arrived going in we smelled the sweet smell of the pan dulce that smelled exactly like the panaderías in Mexico! We got 5 different types of pan dulces to try: yoyo, a croissant, biscuit, cubilete, and a concha. All totaled out to be $8.50 (cash is cheaper than card, they have a 4% service charge). So far we tried the yo-yo and it amazed me how incredibly delicious it was, not overwhelming sweet and was the perfect amount of dense. I would like to return to try their sandwiches. It’s a great local and family owned business that amazed me, a new hidden gem in the Lowry Hill/Whittier neighborhood!
April 23 · Kai SanchezOne of my favorite local bakeries in the twin cities. They are super nice and always great about answering questions about allergies. The prices are great, the pastries are super delicious, and while we were waiting for our Cubano Sandwich they gave us an extra flan (one of my favorite items) for free!
September 12 · Sam HirschhornI've had their pastries before (and they were great!) but someone recently told me about their sandwiches so I had to check it out. AMAZING pastrami sandwich ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I've been itching for a sandwich shop around here and I'm so happy Papá Chuy's moved in!Someone next to me got their breakfast sandwich and it also looked incredible. Will definitely be back for breakfast!
