Pasqualini's Bakery Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For residents and visitors in Delaware, especially those near the coastal areas, Pasqualini's Bakery is a name synonymous with artisanal quality and family tradition. Tucked away slightly off the main bustle of Rehoboth Beach, this local gem—proudly identifying as a women-owned business—has been serving up scratch-made baked goods since its founding in 2000 by Kathy Pasqualini, carrying on a legacy that began in her father’s Milford bakery in 1957.
Pasqualini's stands apart from commercial chains by focusing on classic, high-quality baking. Patrons consistently praise the bakery for its commitment to freshness and the exceptional care put into every creation, qualities often absent in larger retail grocery stores. The bakery is particularly revered for its custom cakes, donuts, and sticky buns, which have become a cherished part of many Delaware families' weekend routines and special celebrations. Customers who have tried their custom creations, particularly their rich chocolate cakes, rave about the perfect balance of flavor, calling them the "best cake they've ever had," a testament to the owner’s passion for her craft.
While the bakery maintains a low-key, friendly vibe, it operates with the professionalism and precision required of a top-tier bakery. It is a destination that requires planning, as its popular items, like fresh donuts, sell out quickly, and its operating hours can vary seasonally. For anyone in the Rehoboth Beach area looking for a genuine, handcrafted treat—from a simple muffin to a multi-tiered wedding cake—Pasqualini's offers an authentic, delicious experience. This is a business built on passion, not just profit, ensuring a product that truly brings joy to its customers.

What is Worth Choosing
For any Delaware local or vacationer, a visit to Pasqualini's Bakery should be planned around its morning specialties. If you are seeking an everyday indulgence, two items are consistently highlighted as local favorites and essential choices.
First, the Sticky Buns ($10) are an absolute must-try. Made with sweet dough, a cinnamon filling, and a rich sticky bun smear, they can be enjoyed plain or topped with raisins and/or walnuts. These represent the classic, comforting baked good that has made the bakery a local favorite. Customers should arrive early to ensure they get one fresh from the oven, particularly on a weekend morning.
Second, if your timing is right—especially on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday morning during the summer—you should prioritize the Scratch-Made Donuts (Single $2.00; Dozen $16.00). They are famous in the area and are known to sell out quickly. As one customer mentioned, even the Apple Fritter ($4) is surprisingly light and non-greasy, indicating the quality of their frying process.
Finally, for a special occasion, you cannot go wrong with their custom cakes. If the rave reviews from "chocolate connoisseurs" are anything to go by, ordering a whole cake—such as the Triple Chocolate ($42.95) or the highly rated Peanut Butter ($40.95)—is worth every penny. Pasqualini's excels in delivering personalized, perfectly executed centerpieces for any event, making them the premier choice for wedding and birthday cakes in the Rehoboth Beach area. Remember that this is a quality-focused operation; therefore, plan your visit for the early morning to secure the best selection of their daily-baked goods.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Tucked away in a residential area, fun little bakery. Apple fritter was not too heavy not greasy. Cinnamon roll had a good frosting. Got here too late to try the donuts (10 minutes before Thur closing). Next time. The pies looked really good too.
August 29 · Jeff GottdownunderWe got a chocolate cake here for my parents anniversary. Several chocolate connoisseurs were present and said it’s the best cake they’ve ever had. Delicious icing and toppings. Absolutely perfect. They are true artisans and masters of their craft.
June 26 · Phil BurkleyI ordered a full sheet cake for my mom’s birthday. When ordering everyone was super helpful with questions. The cake was rather large and I was worried we would have a lot left over but it was SOOOO GOOD! Everyone talked about how great it was, asked where we got it, and helped themselves to a second piece! I will definitely be ordering cakes from here for all future events.
August 17 · Anna ReidWe are so happy we chose Pasqualini’s to bake us a birthday cake this year. My dream cake was a Hawaiian inspired sunset cake with custom edible flowers. Cathy is so talented and was able to duplicate the inspiration photo to a tee. Not only that, the raspberry jam filling was perfectly flavored but not too sweet (like the style of cake you now find in every supermarket). You could tell the ingredients used were high quality and the flavor was so delicate. Everyone at my party raved about the cake and it looked beautiful in all of our photos. We also ordered the tomato pie from Pasqualini’s. Although different, this tomato pie give’s Serpe’s a run for it’s money. We will be using Pasquilini’s for all future orders any time we are seeking something sweet or savory down at the beach!
