★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The event was part of a yelp sponsored experience.I rsvp'd to this event and thought I would stop by on my way to NYC. Though one of my yelp friends, Jem.B and Mike, were able to accomplish that, I was a day too early in my planning. Now I get to drive past Pieconic tomorrow, and may be stop by again and pick up a pie, muffin, cheesecake, or quiche.I would have wanted to try their Empire State Bourbon Chocolate Pie, which was featured on NBC's Today show, but picked a well-deserved alternative, Godfather Chocolate Amaretto Pie.The pie was flaky on the outside, gooey on the inside with a punch of chocolaty liqueur. I also got to try peppermint try and bought a lemon blueberry muffin to take home for my son. Most of the ingredients are sourced locally and prepared by Christopher or Wendy. Christopher has managed hotel portfolios for the Prince of Saudi and Emir of Qatar, and has been a chef at few of New York's grandest hotels, the Pierre, Plaza, Peninsula, Regency and Regent Hotels. If you are in the area, I recommend you stop in, as they are just a mile away from the charming center of Chatham. Last but not least, thank you Caitlin for organizing this local experience.
February 19 · Nischinth SadhakOMG I don't know how I have driven past so many times and not noticed this place. Running errands in the plaza decided to see what they had for a nice dessert to have tonight as dinner was already in the slow cooker. It smelled amazing. If I didn't already have dinner prepared I would have gotten more of a spread. But the apple and peach fried pies were amazing, as was the beef-patty style pastry.Amazing. Will definitely be back to get a proper meal and more of those beef pastries!
December 17 · Stephanie RousePRE-ORDER YOUR PIE. DON'T JUST DROP IN.That about sums it up - not a store front. We were in Ghent and thought it'd be great to go to the 'store front' of Pieconic and buy a pie. Instead of giving Sunflower Market a cut...ERROR. We enter the store to uninterested dude who explained the deal. Definitely frustrating. I am sure said dude was having a bad day and we all have them, but he wasn't exactly friendly. Thank god I didn't drive an hour just for the pie. I also badly needed to use the restroom (just #1) and asked, to be told no. Fine get that too. I had to walk down the Mavis... Which maybe the owner could offer when people ask.Why bother having a store front if you only take orders in advance? I get you're a small family business and respect that but you have a website, Google maps, etc to avoid people driving an hour to arrive to no pie and an unfriendly dude.
December 28 · Ryan WilderHave purchase several Chocolate Bourbon Walnut pies. An OUTSTANDING delight !!! During the holiday rush there was a bit of confusion on an order we placed. Owner Christopher went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommended.
January 05 · Bob and Patrice TomasoThey can do amazing things with that pastry dough. Both sweet and savory mini pies, empanadas, pot pies... also Breakfast All Day! You can also pre-order larger pies and larger orders of the smaller items. Event bursting with flavor.Service is great and Russ and Giselle know everyone's names.(Coffee could be better. Go for the pastry crust.)
