Settepani Bakery Introduce
In the vibrant landscape of Brooklyn's culinary scene, Settepani Bakery has long been a destination for those seeking authentic, traditional Italian baked goods. This bakery and café is more than just a place to grab a coffee; it’s a portal to a rich, old-world tradition, serving pastries and treats that harken back to the classic flavors of Italy and a bygone era of New York City. Settepani Bakery has built its reputation on a commitment to time-honored recipes and a dedication to quality that resonates deeply with customers who appreciate genuine, artisanal craftsmanship. While some customer experiences may vary, the bakery’s enduring appeal lies in its ability to offer a taste of nostalgia and tradition that is hard to find in the modern, fast-paced city.
The core philosophy of Settepani Bakery is to honor and preserve the flavors of a classic Italian kitchen. This is evident in their most celebrated creations, such as the Easter Pie (also known as a grain pie), which has garnered a loyal following. One customer's review, delivered after multiple attempts, raved about the pie, stating that "it was wonderful" and had a flavor that was "like when i was young in NYC, in the 50's and 60's." This kind of feedback speaks volumes about the bakery's ability to create a truly authentic and memorable product that evokes strong emotions and a sense of history. This dedication to tradition is what makes Settepani Bakery a true local gem, a place where the recipes are not just followed but cherished.
While there may be occasional critiques on pricing or the taste of certain items, such as a review mentioning pistachio tarts that tasted like "margarine," the overall reputation of the bakery is bolstered by its signature, well-loved products. The bakery’s success is a testament to the fact that for many, a taste of home and tradition is worth seeking out. They have managed to create a unique blend of a cozy café experience with the high-quality standards of a traditional Italian bakery, making it a perfect spot for locals to either grab a quick treat or sit down and enjoy a moment of peace. The owner's family has a long history in the food business, and this deep-rooted experience and passion are baked into every item they sell.
Settepani Bakery is located at 602 Lorimer St, Brooklyn, NY 11211. This address places it squarely in the vibrant and popular neighborhood of Williamsburg, known for its eclectic mix of trendy shops, residential areas, and diverse food scene. The bakery's location makes it a convenient stop for a large number of local residents and a destination for those seeking a taste of authentic Italian pastries. Its placement on Lorimer Street provides a neighborhood feel, attracting a steady stream of regulars who appreciate the local charm.
The bakery is highly accessible via public transportation, which is crucial for a New York City business. It is within a reasonable walking distance of several subway stations, including the Lorimer Street stop on the L train and the Metropolitan Avenue stop on the G train. This connectivity allows customers from other parts of Brooklyn, as well as Manhattan, to easily visit the bakery. For those who prefer to travel by bus, numerous routes run through the area, making it a convenient stop for a quick coffee and pastry. While street parking in Williamsburg can be challenging, the neighborhood’s strong emphasis on walking and public transit means that accessibility is not a major issue for most customers. The bakery's location in a bustling, community-focused area perfectly aligns with its business model of providing a neighborhood-friendly, traditional Italian experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- This café is very expensive. We ordered two small pistachio tarts and two large coffees; however, their “large” is smaller than Starbucks’ Tall cup. The tarts taste like margarine and we couldn't even ate them. We paid 32 bucks. Don't waste your money. March 14 · David Nikuradze
- I had an Easter Pie (grain pie) delivered by Goldbelly, it was wonderful. After 3 tries because of UPS delivery problems. Such a sin to throw out all that good food. But it is the best pie. The flavor is like when i was young in NYC, in the 50's and 60's .** But please take note, the ad in Goldbelly is incorrect. It says 2 pounds. It is 5 pounds. This should be corrected so that people realize how much they actually get for the price. April 07 · Karen Gagliano
- Family owned bakery that's been around for awhile. I bought the Rainbow Cookie Croissant and it was 😋 as was the Lemon Coconut mini cake that I bought. The place is spacious. I like the items they have as decorations. I wouldn't call it a cozy environment. The lady that helped me didn't seem to be in a good mood, but I guess we all have those days (in this business, you should probably leave the mood at home). I read that they were known for their Pantone and that they had different varieties throughout the year, unfortunately on this day they didn't have a different variety in the mini version. So their were some minor setbacks but all in all I'm glad I tried this bakery out. The things I bought were delicious and the prices were reasonable. Will I go again? Maybe. - Settepani Bakery Pumpkin Pie: A Game ChangerI’ve never been a pie person—until I had Settepani’s pumpkin pie. After comparing several pies from local bakeries, this one blew the competition out of the water. The crust? Perfectly flaky, not too thick, just the right amount of buttery goodness. The filling? A smooth, creamy dream that isn’t overwhelmed by spices or sugar. It’s like they bottled fall in a slice. Before this, pumpkin pie was just "meh" to me. Now? I'm hooked. Settepani’s fresh batches have officially converted me into a pumpkin pie lover. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out.1000000/10 December 04 · Margherita Andreani
- I ordered a rainbow panettone for my husband for Christmas. He is from Brooklyn, we currently live in pennsylvania. This was a huge disappointment. Nothing like what was advertised. Very dry, open inside and cookies on the top were horrible dry& I think they ran out,we only had a few pieces. $80 waste. My husband said "is this a joke?!"...sorry. Christmas fail.
