Shampa's Pies Introduce
Introduction / Overview
Located in the beautiful coastal town of Pacifica, California, Shampa's Pies is not just a pie shop; it is a beloved local institution and a true culinary gem in the San Francisco Bay Area. Specializing in handcrafted pies, cobblers, and an array of other delectable baked goods, Shampa's has cultivated a reputation for using high-quality, often organic, and seasonally available ingredients. The establishment is built on a foundation of passion and legacy, originally inspired by the founding chef’s mother-in-law, Sheridan, and it continues to thrive under the care of his family and dedicated crew, embodying a spirit of community and exceptional baking.
What sets Shampa's Pies apart in the competitive California food scene is its unwavering commitment to quality. The crusts are a French-style pastry, intentionally made without lard or hydrogenated oils, designed to be slightly crisp and perfectly complement the fillings. Their fruit pies showcase locally grown, organic, or natural fruits, sourced diligently from fellow farmers market vendors and local Californian farms, ensuring peak freshness and flavor in every bite. This dedication to local sourcing resonates strongly with California consumers who prioritize sustainability and fresh, seasonal ingredients.
The shop proudly identifies as both a Black-owned and women-owned business, adding a vital layer to the diverse tapestry of Bay Area entrepreneurship. Whether you are craving a slice of their famous Lemon Chess Pie—described by one customer as "outstanding, like a lemon bar with pie crust"—or indulging in the highly addictive Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies with sea salt, Shampa's delivers a consistent, high-quality product. As one local enthusiast raves, "Shampa's never disappoints... My go to is their brown butter chocolate chip cookies with sea salt. It is probably one of the better cookies I've had from a pie shop." For locals and visitors alike, Shampa's Pies offers a comforting and elevated baking experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Mad local! Peach pie had a buttery, flaky crust filled with perfectly cooked peaches; not soggy or soft. The filling was slightly bland- it might have needed more spices, lemon juice, or sugar. But I had it cold, so it's hard to say.I also had a brown butter cookie, which had a crisp, browned exterior with a gooey, chewy interior. Everything I like in a chocolate chip cookie.I will definitely be back to try more from Shampa's.I have since been back to Shampa's, and I picked up the lemon chess and apple pies. The lemon chess was outstanding, like a lemon bar with pie crust. Apple filling was nicely toothsome and well spiced. Crust was lovely as always. Got another chocolate chip cookie too, don't miss those.
October 15 · Dylan StolfusShampa's never disappoints I have been coming to the storefront for years now. My go to is their brown butter chocolate chip cookies with sea salt. It is probably one of the better cookies I've had from a pie shop. The chocolate they use is from Guittard chocolate company very good quality chocolate. I've had their pies also which are really tasty they have some seasonal flavors wish you really shouldn't miss out on. When I'm in the Pacifica area are we stop buy shampoo and pick up a dozen how's the chocolate chip cookies yes they are that good.
May 03 · Dom AtmanHad wanted to visit this place since reading about Haruwn Wesley, the owner, passing away in a surfing accident. There is a large photo of him visible from outside the store. Bought 3 mini pies- key lime, sweet potato, strawberry rhubarb cobbler- all were delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. Wished I lived closer so I could support them more often...! Highly recommend.
June 14 · Tetsunori IshidaShampa's mini pies for pi day were a hit! Pecan, lemon, apple, chocolate, sweet potato - every single one was delicious. Crust was perfect. Fillings were the perfect sweetness (not too sweet). I want more!
March 14 · Alice FangGreat local pie shop. Their chocolate pie and pumpkin pie are delicious. Also try out a pie a la mode with a scoop of Mitchell’s ice cream offered in store. This is a wonderful small business to support in Pacifica for dessert!
