★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1HORRIBLE AND SHAMEFIUL EXPERIENCE AT SPIGA BAKERY. The bakery had only 3 all chocolate cakes on display. I needed a yellow cake for 6 people. I was told I had to special order a cake, and I had to purchase a 10 inch cake even though I only needed a 7 inch cake. The inside layers of filling were TOO THICK you could hardly taste the cake. So, I spoke with the manager who explained that is does not pay for the baker to stop making a $100 cake to bake a 7 inch cake, which is why I had to order and pay for a 10 inch cake. This is a poor excuse and basically theft. I also purchased $40 in cookies. I guess I was not spending enough money at this HORRIBLE BAKERY.
July 01 · MaryWe like to stop here when on Long Island to grab pastries to take back home with us. Everything has always been delicious! Our favorites are the Rainbow Cookies, and the Linzer Tarts. We highly recommend this place.
November 11 · Brett SkipperI love this bakery but recently they decided to change the shape of their crumb bun. They used to bake them in a large tray and cut them ino rectangular pieces and they were up by the register. Now they are made round and in the glass case. The new crumb bun/cake does not taste as good, even though they say its the same recipe as the crumb bun itself. The rectangular shape. This round, one falls apart as you either cut into it or bite into it, and it doesn't have the same taste. Very disappointed that they change such a good thing.
February 28 · Dale SmithI love their pastries, always fresh and delicious and they taste better than they look. They also have the most pleasant and king staff. Great bakery!
