What is worth choosing
For any Washington resident or visitor, choosing The Flour Box is choosing a truly artisanal and memorable food experience. While every item is highly recommended, the absolute must-have is one of their famous brioche donuts. What makes it worth the effort—including the noted occasional wait—is the sheer quality and innovation of this pastry.
Start with one of the current rotating flavors. If available, highly-lauded options such as the Strawberry Cream, which is described as tasting like a donut with fresh strawberry ice cream inside, or the Creme Brulee, with its hand-torched caramelized sugar crust, represent the pinnacle of their craft. If you are feeling adventurous, don't miss a savory option like the Salmon Lox or the Everything Bagel-inspired donuts; these unexpected flavors are the perfect example of the bakery’s culinary genius and commitment to unique, savory-sweet balance.
Beyond the donuts, securing a Cinnamon Roll is another wise choice; customers note its excellent dough-to-icing balance. And since The Flour Box is also a cafe, it is essential to pair your pastry with one of their specialty coffee drinks, featuring local Anchorhead Coffee, like an Iced Latte or one of their unique house-made syrup concoctions. Ultimately, what is worth choosing is the patience to arrive early, secure a box of their freshest flavors, and enjoy what many in Seattle consider to be the best donut they have ever had.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The Flour Box definitely lives up to the hype when it comes to donuts. We waited about an hour in line, and it was worth it. The donuts are super airy and light, with fillings that are just the right amount of sweet (not overwhelming). Probably the best donuts we’ve had around Seattle so far. That said, the line is always crazy long, so while it was an amazing experience, I’m not sure we’ll be rushing back anytime soon. Still, if you’ve got the patience, it’s worth checking out at least once!
August 25 · Vy NguyenSeriously delicious donuts! Totally worth the wait. We came Friday morning around 9:20am before they opened and had our order in hand by 10:15am. Definitely worth going before they open to avoid waiting too long in line and to ensure you get what you want before they sell out! This week they had their cookies and cream donut and a salmon lox donut which we ordered. We also got one cinnamon roll, brownie, strawberry milk and an iced latte. Everything was so good and tasted fresh! The salmon lox donut surprised me but I really liked it. They have a lot of seating available, both inside and outside. The drinks were delicious, the cinnamon roll had the perfect icing to dough ratio, and the brownie was fudgy and sweet.
May 04 · Anushka MankunathDefinitely one of the best donuts you can get in Seattle right now. The brioche dough is so light and fluffy and the fillings in every donut are balanced and incredibly flavorful. The fruity pebbles donut knocked my socks off! Make sure you get there at least 30 minutes before they open so you can make sure you get something. They run out super fast and the lines get long quick.
June 27 · Jo PaLovely donuts and good variety of drinks!! They have a seasonal menu which changes every month so be on the lookout for what’s next!People usually line up around 9am and a one hour wait is pretty normal! The long lines are worth the wait!!
July 20 · Arpita ManeI very rarely review anything these days, but I really felt inclined for this. This was my first time to The Flour Box, but not the last. I drove 45 mins (one way) and got here 15 mins before opening. Waited about an hour in line. The person in front of me said he put on sunscreen just for the wait in line. I debated on coming another day, but after he said that I realized life is too short and this has to be worth it. I am happy I waited.Donuts were: sweet corn, cookies & cream, blackberry yuzu jam, and jalapeño cheddar everything. I usually would NEVER try a savory donut, nonetheless, I trusted. My perspective on savory desserts has changed.Overall, donuts were an 8.5/10. Cheesecake was an 8/10 as I prefer thicker consistency. Fudge brownie 8/10.My favorites? The zucchini bread with butter spread and mocha latte with vanilla bean syrup (owner recommended this syrup). Both 10/10, and quite frankly, I am sad because I will now always compare mocha lattes to this one. I am also sad the shop is so far from my home. But it may be for the best as far as my bank account goes.If you haven’t caught on yet, the wait was 100% worth it for me. Compliments to the young, hardworking owner, whom was also checking everyone out. She will go very far in life. And for the critics, no business would be this busy for this many years if there was nothing to rave about.
